Hines, CBRE Global Investment Partners, AXA IM-Real Assets, Cornerstone
Hines – Mario Abbadessa has joined to lead investment in Italy. Abbadessa will be responsible for Hines’s deal sourcing in Italy on behalf of discretionary and non-discretionary investment vehicles, as well as for investors with interest in one-off deals. Abbadessa, based in London, previously spent five years with Hines in Milan and as a fund manager with Hines Italia SGR. Hines recently sold its interests in its Italian fund management business to Manfredi Catella.
CBRE Global Investment Partners – Gill Roantree has been appointed COO and a member of GIP’s management committee. Roantree joins from Mayfair Capital, where she was COO. Prior to that, Roantree was with Schroders, as COO of the real estate investment division. She joins next month.
AXA Investment Managers-Real Assets – Christian Heyn has been appointed head of development for Germany and Austria. Heyn will be responsible for sourcing new development opportunities on behalf of clients and opportunistic funds, as well as managing assets currently under redevelopment in Germany. Heyn joins from Swiss commercial property developer SSN Group, where he was managing director since 2012. He has also worked for Deutsche Bank subsidiary DIL.
Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers – Séverine Laffineur has been named head of France. Laffineur will be responsible for originating real estate investment opportunities and sourcing capital from French institutions for Cornerstone’s debt and equity products in the US and Europe. Laffineur joins from Standard Life Investments, where she spent four years in European portfolio management. Laffineur has also worked for LaSalle Investment Management.
