LaSalle Investment Management’s Mahdi Mokrane is joining Patrizia to head the real estate manager’s investment strategy and research.
Patrizia said Mokrane will join the business in due course from LaSalle in London, where for the past six years he was head of European research and strategy.
At Patrizia, Mokrane is expected to ”create greater interconnections” between the company’s investment solutions in Europe as well as globally through Patrizia Multi-Manager and with its client offices in North America and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining LaSalle, he worked at AEW Europe, where he was head of research and strategy and a member of the company’s European investment committee as well as the global securities allocation committee.
He also worked on real estate debt and equity transactions in both UK and continental European markets.
Before joining AEW, he held the position of director for research and training at IPD in France from 2001 to 2004.
Jose-Luis Pellicer, the former head of research at Patrizia, recently left to join M&G Real Estate to lead its newly created investment strategy role.
Anne Kavanagh, CIO of Patrizia, said: “The board believes we have secured a world-class senior leader with outstanding international real estate credentials and a strong reputation in the market who will help us further strengthen our research offering.”
