Patrizia – Dirk Bootsma has been appointed director of international capital markets for Europe, based in Amsterdam. He joins from Dutch pension fund investor PGGM to strengthen the German company’s global fundraising capabilities. Bootsma worked at PGGM for five years as director of private real estate investments.

AMP CapitalNiamh McBreen has hired as an investment director in the infrastructure equity asset management team, based in London. Stasha Prnjatovic has also been appointed to the newly-created role of investment director, energy within the infrastructure equity team in Sydney. McBreen is part of the team responsible for asset management across AMP Capital’s European infrastructure assets and will report to David Rees, the company’s head of asset management for Europe. She joined on 1 July from UK Government Investments, an associated body of HM Treasury, where she was executive director working on several portfolio assets including Network Rail, Highways England, NATS and Companies House. Prnjatovic is to head up the sourcing and asset management of Australian and New Zealand energy infrastructure assets and will report to Michael Cummings, head of Australia and New Zealand infrastructure equity funds. She is joining the firm on 17 July, leaving her role of commercial director at New South Wales Treasury where she oversaw the privatisation of TransGrid, Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy.

JLL — Matilde Attolico and Zeynep Fetvaci have been hired to work in the newly created global funds advisory team. They both join from Hodes Weill & Associates where they were managing directors. Attolico helped set up the firm’s London office. She will head up the JLL team globally, and be based in London. Fetvaci has previously worked at Peakside Capital, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. Mihir Shah and Yishai Lerner have been appointed to head up a new business JLL Spark. The new operation aims to market new technology-driven real estate services. Shah and Lerner will be the two co-chief executives of the new business. Shah was most recently vice president and general manager of mobile at Groupon, and before that, was chief executive and co-founder of, which was subsequently acquired by Groupon. Lerner, meanwhile, was co-founder of several start-ups including, Detour and CarrierIQ.

British Property Federation — Paul Brundage, executive vice-president and senior managing director for Europe at Oxford Properties, has been appointed the new president of the BPF, succeeding David Sleath, chief executive of Segro. He will be the first Canadian president of the UK trade body, although he now holds dual nationality. Helen Gordon, chief executive of Grainger, has been appointed as the BPF’s new junior vice-president, taking over the role from Landsec chief executive Robert Noel, who is to move up into the position of vice president.

M7 Real EstatePhilipp Jakubowicz is joining M7 Real Estate as co-head of asset management, Germany, and will lead the 12-strong asset management team alongside co-head Alfred Garbe. Jakubowicz is based in Frankfurt and will be responsible for the Frankfurt and Dusseldorf offices while Garbe is responsible for the Berlin, Hanover and Stuttgart offices. Both men report directly to M7’s German managing director Alyssa Huse. Before coming to M7, Jakubowicz was transaction and lease manager at Siemens Real Estate, where he was responsible for the group’s own commercial property. 

CBREMichael Matthews has joined the EMEA cross-border retail team in London. He has left CBRE Global Investors, where he has spent the past two years as European commercial director of retail.

CBRE Global Investors — Laurie Lagarde has been appointed as portfolio manager and will oversee portfolio strategy and performance of pooled continental European logistics funds. She is joining the firm from Prologis, where she was a vice president transactions officer for seven years.

AXA Investment Manager–Real Assets Ilany Labdaoui joins as an analyst in the infrastructure equity team. He will report to Mark Gilligan, head of infrastructure equity, and be based in Paris. The hiring is part of the company’s strategy to increase its infrastructure equity team and follows the appointments earlier this year of Jeff Woodard, Julien Gailleton and Anh Khoa Nguyen. Labdaoui joins from Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) where he was a private equity analyst in the infrastructure and energy team.

Knight Frank Investment Management  — David Johnson has begun a new job as partner, having most recently worked for Cushman & Wakefield, focusing on the City of London. 

Tunstall Real Estate Asset Management Christopher Hodson has been appointed finance director at Tunstall, a pan-European alternative investment fund platform set up last year. The hire follows the company’s first deal, the acquisition of Pinnacle Group in joint venture with Starwood Capital Group. Hodson comes to Tunstall from strategic land development firm Lands Improvement Holdings, where he was finance director since joining the company in 2009. 

LaSalle Investment ManagementUsman Shakeel has been hired as Americas chief compliance officer within its private equity business. He was previously at law firm Latham & Watkins where he focused on investment management matters for private equity and hedge fund clients.
