Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has made a $250m (€218.3m) to the Apollo European Principal Finance Fund IV fund, according to the pension fund.
TRS placed its commitment to the Apollo fund within its opportunistic sector of its real estate portfolio.
Fundraising details of the latest fund is currently unknown.
Apollo European Principal Finance Fund III, Apollo’s previous fund, invested in hospitality and residential real estate non-performing loans, alongside servicing and lending platforms, consumer loans, distressed shipping loans and small-to-medium-enterprise loans. The fund’s focused on the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany and Italy.
TRS said it has also approved a $37.7m commitment to the
Divco DevCo Assembly Row investment. The capital will be invested in an opportunistic life science property that is part of the Assembly Row mixed-use project located in the Boston suburb of Somerville, Massachusetts.
The pension fund also said it has made a $50m commitment to Pennybacker Income & Growth, a US value-add real estate fund.
TRS has added to its European infrastructure exposure by way of a $150m commitment into the InfraVia European Fund V fund.
TRS said it also invested $100m into the Oaktree Power Opportunities Fund VI fund.
