Verdion – The pan-European logistics real estate specialist has appointed Jamie Young as asset manager to assist in the running of its €1.5bn European portfolio. Young joins the business from CBRE where he was a transaction manager. Based at Verdion’s London headquarters, Young will work closely with director of asset management Simon Walter and executive director John Clements on VELF1, Verdion’s €310m discretionary fund focussed on assets with potential for value add across Germany, the Nordics and other Northern European locations, and the management of iPort – its 800-acre UK multimodal logistics hub being developed in partnership with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.

Gresham House – The specialist alternative asset manager has appointed Diane Abeyawickrama as finance director of its housing division. Abeyawickrama joins from Kingswood Wealth, an AIM-listed wealth management group where she was a member of the executive committee, responsible for all aspects of finance. Prior to this, she held senior positions as group financial controller at Round Hill Capital and was finance director at asset finance specialist Renaissance Asset Management. Abeyawickrama also held the position of head of finance at Brevan Howard Asset Management. She began her career at PwC in Sri Lanka.

Vauban Infrastructure Partners – The infrastructure asset manager has appointed Christoph Stagl vice president based in Munich, Germany. Marcin Petrykowski has also been appointed senior advisor dedicated to the CEE region, based in Warsaw, Poland. Stagl has more than 8 years of experience. Prior to joining Vauban, he was senior investment manager at MEAG. He has also worked at Macquarie in London, where he was responsible for infrastructure debt investments across all sub-sectors, and at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Frankfurt and London, with a focus on German coverage and capital markets. At Vauban Christoph will be actively pursuing origination and asset management of the investment opportunities notably in the CEE region. Petrykowski’s previous roles include MD and non-executive board roles, overseeing corporate growth and delivering strategic transformations for commercial businesses operating across Europe, especially Poland and CEE. Petrykowski previously worked as MD at S&P Global – transforming the EMEA commercial organization to a new operating model and leading S&P’s entry into Poland and CEE. Petrykowski also held the role of regional head, markets and investor services and deputy general manager at JP Morgan.

Redos – The Hamburg-based large-scale retail property specialist has appointed Markus Diers as a managing director. The 41-year-old real estate executive will assume responsibility for asset management within the group’s funds business, working closely together with Torsten C Wesch, managing director for fund management, and Frank Eckervogt, managing director for transactions. Before joining redos, Diers served as head of asset management for retail properties at HIH Real Estate. In 2017 he was additionally appointed managing director of HIH Centermanagement, a subsidiary for shopping centre management. From 2005 to 2016 Diers worked for Union Investment Real Estate including as international asset management head for shopping centres. His past professional career also included posts at DGAG Center Management and B&L Immobilien Management.

Greystone – The US commercial real estate finance company has appointed Marc Fox as CFO. Based in New York, Fox will serve an integral role on the executive leadership team at Greystone. Bruce Bolick, who has served as CFO for over 12 years, will transition the role to Fox and retire at the end of 2021. Joining from Ladder Capital Finance, where he served as CFO for 12 years, Fox brings a wealth of experience in his more than two decades in real estate finance helping to grow and scale dynamic organizations. Prior to Ladder Capital, Fox served as executive VP and treasurer at GMAC Commercial Mortgage.

DWF – The provider of integrated legal and business services has appointed Pierre-Nicolas Sanzey real estate partner to its Paris office. Sanzey joins DWF as part of the global real estate team led by Toby Askin. Sanzey advises on projects across a range of sectors from retail, hospitality and offices to logistics and healthcare. He also has extensive experience in joint venture agreements, development and project management contracts, commercial leases and design and build construction contracts. Sanzey oins DWF’s real estate partners operating across Europe in Italy, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Poland, and throughout the UK.
