GLIL Infrastructure – The fund backed by a number of UK local government pension schemes has appointed Patricia Rodrigues Jenner as an independent member of the committee which is responsible for approving GLIL’s investments. Jenner recently held director and non-executive director positions at Macquarie, PSP Infrastructure, and Aquila European Renewables Income Fund. Earlier in her career, Jenner was involved in setting up the UK Green Investment Bank within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, now the Green Investment Group. In her new role, Jenner will work closely with the other four members of GLIL’s investment committee and its 14 investment team to provide input into the investment process from start to finish.

CBRE – Spencer Levy has been appointed to the position of global chief client officer overseeing the firm’s client care strategy. He will continue to serve as the company’s senior economic advisor. Levy, who has Levy has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, will lead a team that serve CBRE’s top global occupier and investor clients.

Cromwell Property – The real estate manager has appointed Lionel Naturkrejt head of investment in France. He will be based in Cromwell’s Paris office. Naturkrejt joins Cromwell from Société Générale Real Estate Advisory, where he was head of corporate clients. Prior to this, he spent eight years at Allianz Real Estate, latterly as head of acquisitions West Europe. In his 17 years in the property industry, all of which have been based in France, he has also worked at AMB (now Prologis) and Unibail (now Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield). As head of investment France, Naturkrejt will be responsible for leading Cromwell’s growth strategy in France, including the disposal and acquisition of all assets throughout the country. Cromwell has promoted Danya Pollard to head its capital solutions business in Europe. Based in London, Pollard will join the European management team reporting directly to Cromwell’s MD in Europe, Pertti Vanhanen, while continuing to work closely with Robert Percy, Cromwell’s CIO. Pollard joined Cromwell’s capital, product and research team in December 2019 with responsibility for enhancing Cromwell’s capital and product offering, including the identification and establishment of a range of new funds and investment strategies for institutional investors across the European region. Prior to joining Cromwell, she was a fund manager and adviser to fund boards at Ahli United Bank, where she spent more than six years overseeing the global real estate platform, products and underlying investments.

Cushman & Wakefield – The global real estate services firm has appointed James Woolley to its student accommodation valuation team from Knight Frank. He joins as a partner to expand the team’s valuation service line and will be growing the existing book of work across recurring fund valuations and secured lending globally. Woolley brings 11 years’ experience and most recently spent eight years at Knight Frank as a partner in the student property team.

International CampusMatthias Hautli has been appointed senior transaction manager, in charge of new projects for the brands THE FIZZ and HVNS in Southern Germany and Austria. Prior to joining the team, he worked in the hotel advisory and transactions division at Engel & Völkers for more than four years, most recently as a director. Before that, he was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young Real Estate. Hautli also worked at the hotel consultancy Kohl & Partner, where he was a partner and location manager of the Vienna office until 2015.

NTR – The infrastructure manager has appointed Anthony Doherty as CIO designate replacing outgoing CIO, Manus O’Donnell.  Doherty has also been appointed to the board of NTR. Doherty has been with the NTR group for eleven years and has extensive renewables investment experience across multiple technologies including wind, solar, energy storage and the bioenergy and energy-from-waste sectors. Kevin Ryan has been appointed investments director. Ryan has been with the company for nine years. 

Intervest Offices & WarehousesAnn Smolders has been appointed as new chairwoman. Smolders has acquired more than 30 years of experience in several financial matters with a specialisation in mergers and acquisitions and the valuation of companies. She started her career in 1989 at PwC in Belgium where she became a member of the board of directors in 2005 and was appointed as partner in 2005. Smolders is a visiting lecturer at KU Leuven, a former member of the executive committee of ULI Belgium (2014-2020) and attends the INSEAD training international directors programme. Smolders takes over the role of Jean-Pierre Blumberg who was chairman of the supervisory board since 2016 and who passed away in October. Johan Buijs was in the intermediate period, chairman ad interim. During the last general meeting he has been reappointed as non-independent member of the supervisory board.

Impact Capital – The end-to-end property and modular construction company has appointed Mark Anderson as its new chief operating officer. Anderson joined from Hudson Advisors, investment adviser to Lone Star funds, where he was operating partner for various portfolio companies owned by the private equity firm. Anderson started his career in 2001 at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

GF Hotels & Resorts – The US hotel manager has appointed Jay Burnett CIO. Burnett was senior VP, investments and development, at Auro Hotels, in Greenville in South Carolina, where he was involved with hotel and land acquisitions, feasibility, due diligence, asset management and divestitures. Before joining Auro, a successor to JHM Hotels, Burnett was VP of corporate strategies at GF Hotels & Resorts. Prior to that, he was with AMC Delancey Group in a hotel asset management role.
