M&G – Duncan Batty has been appointed head of real estate finance, effective 2 November 2026, to lead the platform’s European real estate debt strategies. Batty joins from Revolut, where he served as head of commercial real estate lending, and previously held the role of co-head of real estate finance during a 12-year tenure at M&G. With over two decades of experience in European real estate finance, he also previously worked as a real estate finance lawyer. In his new role, he will support M&G’s target of expanding its alternative real estate lending capabilities and capturing European refinancing opportunities across stabilized, transitional, and development assets.

Downing – Carsten Johansen has been appointed partner and Tom Harada has been appointed head of UK investments for energy and infrastructure to support growing institutional investor demand for renewable energy expertise. Johansen joins from Impax Asset Management, where he served as investment director across European and Latin American energy infrastructure, having previously held senior roles at GE Energy Financial Services. Harada joins from Temporis Capital, where he was principal co-lead of the infrastructure investment team, following earlier positions at Lightsource BP and AGR Power. With 20 and 14 years of industry experience respectively, Johansen and Harada will support Downing’s target of expanding its fully integrated energy and infrastructure platform across generation, storage and grid infrastructure throughout Northern Europe.

Canyon Partners Real Estate – Chad Goodman has been appointed head of Eastern and Central region credit to lead opportunistic credit originations across the Eastern and Central US. Goodman joins from Related Fund Management, where he served as managing director, and previously held the role of investment and asset manager at Westport Capital Partners. With over two decades of real estate credit and investing experience, he also spent several years at Bear Stearns, where he focused on mortgage-backed securities and structured products. In his new role, he will support Canyon Partners Real Estate’s target of expanding its credit platform and deepening relationships with borrowers and sponsors across key US markets.

UNIQA Real Estate – Mike Elsner has been appointed head of sales real estate DACH to strengthen the company’s newly established third-party investment management business, focusing on institutional investors across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Elsner joins from HIH Invest, where he served as director capital management, and previously held the role of sales director at Deka Immobilien. With over 20 years of experience in the financial and real estate sectors, he will support UNIQA Real Estate’s target of building out its institutional sales capabilities and expanding its investment offering, following the launch of its €600m UQA Real Estate Fund for core and core-plus office properties in Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Savills – Adam De Acetis has been appointed director in the property management division, where he will play a key role in formalising and expanding the portfolio team’s approach to private client work. De Acetis joins from Tritax Group, where he served as asset manager, and previously held the role of associate director at Workman LLP. With extensive experience in property management and strategic asset management, he will support Savills’ target of enhancing its portfolio services for property companies, family offices, and high-net-worth investors across the UK.

Hines – Adam Hines, the grandson of the late Hines founder Gerald Hines, is to join his sibling Laura Hines-Pierce as co-CEO of the global real estate developer and investment manager. Jeff Hines, the son of Gerald Hines, is to move from co-CEO to chairman as part of ongoing leadership transition plans. He will step back from day-to-day management and focus primarily on advising the Co-CEOs. Hines-Pierce has been co-CEO alongside her father since 2020, while Adam Hines has been senior managing director and chief of staff within the office of the CEO since 2024. David Steinbach will become the firm’s first president and Alfonso Munk, currently co-head of investment management, will replace Steinbach as the new global CIO. Hines-Pierce will also replace Jeff Hines as the CEO and chair of the board of Hines Global Income Trust, while Adam Hines will join its board as a director.

Pluto Finance – Peter Axmann has been appointed non-executive adviser to support the real estate private credit platform’s expansion across Germany and continental Europe. Axmann joins from Hamburg Commercial Bank, where he served as head of corporate real estate, following earlier senior real estate finance roles at HSH Nordbank and Hamburgische Landesbank. With over four decades of banking experience, including 30 years in real estate finance, he will support Pluto Finance’s target of growing its European presence and expanding its development and bridging finance capabilities across Germany.

Lomond – Neil McGimpsey has been appointed chief revenue officer for Lomond’s southern region, where he will lead growth across brands including Charters, Miles & Barr, Prospect and Ocean. McGimpsey moves from his previous role as chief operating officer at Lomond, having previously served as chief executive officer at Druce & Co. and spent 15 years in senior leadership roles at Foxtons. He succeeds Rob Mott, founder of Charters, who is stepping down. In his new role, McGimpsey will support Lomond’s target of expanding its regional estate agency network and driving growth across its southern portfolio.
