LGIM Real Assets – Shuen Chan has been appointed head of ESG as the company seeks to align its real asset portfolio with a science-based carbon performance target covering the period to 2030. Chan will take the lead on ESG and support Legal & General’s strategic objective to embed sustainability in all areas of its real assets business, focusing on the LGIM Real Assets real estate equity platform and its rapidly expanding private credit portfolio (which includes infrastructure). Most recently, Chan co-founded a purpose-driven ESG advisory firm, Sustineri. Previously, she was a founding member and head of structured product origination at European Credit Management. Chan’s early career was in debt capital markets at Deutsche Bank, Macquarie and HSBC across Asia and Europe.
Aviva Investors – Ben Stallwood and Neal Pickering has joined the global asset manager’s real estate development team as development directors. Pickering joins from the development arm of Skanska, where he was director and responsible for the acquisition, delivery, leasing and sale. Stallwood joins from Rider Levett Bucknall where he helped to deliver a number of major mixed-use projects. He has also worked for TfL on the upgrade of a number of its stations and has significant experience in the use of sustainable construction.
CBRE Global Investors – The global real asset investment management firm has promoted Stephanie Finetto to the newly formed position of head of investor services operations EMEA, based in London. The role has been created to enhance the real asset investment company’s ability to provide consistent, solutions-oriented engagement with investors across the EMEA region and globally. Finetto was previously director of the business development team at CBRE Global Investors.
Delancey – Brian Creegan has joined the UK property investment manager as its new director of finance. Creegan will lead the accounting and finance team, working alongside asset management and senior management teams. He joins from Tishman Speyer, where he led their European property finance and accounting teams for over five years. Prior to that, Creegan spent almost ten years with EY, where he worked in both their London and Sydney Australia offices.
Picton – The UK REIT has appointed Mark Alder as head of occupier services. In this newly created role, Alder will be responsible for ensuring Picton delivers services to its occupiers, with a focus on efficient and effective property management. Prior to joining Picton he was head of Cushman & Wakefield’s service charge consultancy team.
Skanska – The office developer has appointed a new senior leadership team for its commercial development operations in Central and Eastern Europe led by Katarzyna Zawodna-Bijoch as president and CEO. Arkadiusz Rudzki has been appointed executive vice president leasing and sales; Mariusz Krzak has been named executive vice president operations Poland (Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdańsk) and Marcin Łapiński has been named executive vice president operations Poland (Kraków, Katowice, Łódź, Poznań). Aurelia Luca has joined the team as executive vice president operations Romania; Alexandra Tomášková has joined as executive vice president operations Hungary & Czech Republic and Thomas Henriksson has been named executive vice president finance and CFO. The developer has also appointed Karolina Radziszewska executive vice president human resources; Jacob Møller-Nielsen as executive vice president centre of excellence and Tomaš Fabian has been named executive vice president legal counsel.
Goodwin – Justin Cornelius is joining the global law firm’s real estate investment funds practice as partner in the London office. With over 20 years’ experience working in the investment management industry across multi-jurisdictions, Cornelius focuses on the establishment and operation of unlisted investment funds, private equity real estate funds, joint ventures and high-value real estate mergers and acquisitions.
Oxane Partners – The technology-driven solutions provider to the real estate industry has appointed Andrew Tisdall as portfolio management solutions director. Tisdall will focus on expanding the firm’s portfolio management business in Europe. Tisdall has more than 22 years of experience in loan operations at Mount Street, Morgan Stanley and Barclays. At Mount Street, he was head of loan administration and prior to that, he led the loan administration teams within the securitised products group operations division at Morgan Stanley and was responsible for their European CMBS conduit programme.
Residential Secure Income – ReSI Capital Management, the company’s fund manager has appointed James Sly as finance director, with responsibility for financial strategy and operations, including across the company’s equity and debt programme. Sly was previously a finance manager at the specialist UK lender United Trust Bank. Prior to joining UTB, Sly was group financial accountant at Pepkor Europe.
Flatfair – Elisabeth Yates has joined the deposit alternative provider as head of marketing. Yates joins the payment technology firm from bookmaker William Hill, where she was senior strategy manager for online gaming. Yates previously spent time at Google as marketing campaign manager. Yates has also worked previously worked for Groupon and Sainsbury’s, in marketing roles during her career.
Supermarket Income REIT – The UK REIT has appointed Cathryn Vanderspar non-executive director of the company. Vanderspar has more than 20 years’ experience as a real estate lawyer and is head of real estate tax at Travers Smith. She specialises in direct and indirect real estate with experience in unauthorised, authorised and listed funds, across all types of vehicle and asset classes, including real estate, debt and private equity. Vanderspar is an active member of the HMRC and HMT working groups and is the author of the tax chapter on REITs in Tolleys Taxation of Collective Investment.
