Mileway – Panayot Vasilev has joined the pan-European last-mile logistics real estate company as CFO. Prior to Mileway, he served as managing director and CFO for Blackstone Real Estate Europe. Before joining Blackstone in 2016, Vasilev served as CFO for GE Capital Real Estate Europe.
Green Street Advisors – The commercial real estate research provider has appointed Jeff Stuek Jr CEO to succeed Craig Leupold who will be stepping down after twelve years as president and CEO and more than 26 years with Green Street. Prior to joining Green Street, Stuek served as president, North America of TravelClick. Leupold will continue to serve as a strategic advisor to Green Street. Prior to Green Street, Stuek worked for TravelClick for seven years. Most recently, he served as President of TravelClick’s North American business. Prior to working at TravelClick, he served for 10 years with Dun & Bradstreet in a vast array of sales leadership, operational and general management roles, including president of D&B Canada.
Aviva Investors – Carl Williams joins the asset manager’s returns enhancing and liability matching ground rent fund as deputy fund manager. Williams joins Aviva Investors after four years at Student Cribs where he was a board director. Before this, he worked as a director at residential property and asset management firm Touchstone. He also has prior experience at Aviva Investors, where he worked as a fund manager within its real estate business in the UK and in Europe between 2006 and 2009, with a focus on alternative assets including student and residential properties.
Patrizia – Alberto González de las Heras has been appointed to head the real estate manager’s €4.6bn south-west Europe platform. González de las Heras, who joins from Meridia Capital, will oversee the asset management for France, Italy, Portugal and Spain. He was director of asset management at Meridia. He started his career in real estate investment management in 2001 at Rodamco Europe and has since held senior management roles at companies such as British Land and Falcon II Real Estate Investments.
Redos Group – The German retail property specialists has appointed Timo Singer head of portfolio management. In the newly created role, Singer will be in charge of portfolio and asset optimisation for the company’s shopping centre investments as well as its fund management business. Most recently, Singer served for eight years as senior vice president at Cerberus Global Investments in Amsterdam, and prior to that as head of portfolio strategy at Generali Deutschland. He began his career at KPMG Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft AG as a senior corporate finance associate within the real estate practice.
Floreat – Phil Griffiths has joined the investment firm’s specialist aircraft leasing investment arm as managing director. He joins Floreat Aviation Capital as MD from DAE Capital, where he headed the company’s corporate finance and capital markets team. Prior to this, Griffiths held various senior roles at AWAS, PK AirFinance, Rolls-Royce Capital and Airbus.
Prostar Capital – The midstream energy infrastructure investment firm has appointed Paul Viscontini to the newly created head of asset management role. His responsibilities include overseeing the growth and development of Prostar’s global portfolio, working to develop strategic business execution plans and identifying value creation initiatives. Viscontini joins from PwC, where he had worked in management consulting since 2014 in the capital projects and infrastructure division.
Arrow Capital Partners – The investor and operator of real estate in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has appointed Oliver Bowditch as investment manager, Europe. Bowditch will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing transactions. Bowditch spent the last six years at IO Asset Management, where he led the Investment team and was responsible for the origination and execution of acquisitions. Prior to this, he worked at JLL in their investment valuation team, providing valuation advice to banks, institutions and property companies across the Office and Industrial sectors.
Peakside Capital Advisors – Frank Schäfer has been appointed managing director and head of business development. Schäfer is responsible for investor relations and capital raising as well as product development. Prior to joining Peakside, Schäfer was managing director at Tishman Speyer in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for establishing Tishman Speyer Investment Management and expanding the institutional investment management business in Germany from 2017. Previously, he held various positions at Credit Suisse Group in Zurich and Frankfurt, including global head of product and business development of the real estate investment management division and managing director of Credit Suisse Asset Management Immobilien in Germany.
Avanath Capital Management – Keith Harris has joined the real estate investment manager as executive vice president of acquisitions. As executive vice president, Harris is responsible for overseeing the firm’s acquisitions across the US. Prior to joining Avanath, Harris was principal at CKG Advisors, an investment advisory firm focused on the multifamily industry. He also served as senior vice president of Bozzuto Group. Prior to Bozzuto Group, Harris spent 14 years at The Laramar Group where he served as CIO and 12 years at Heitman Capital Management and JMB Realty Corporation. Harris is the chairman of the Multi-Family Green Housing Council of the Urban Land Institute, and an active member of the National Multi-Family Housing Council. In addition to Harris joining the team, Avanath has also opened two new regional offices in Chicago, IL and Alexandria, VA.
