JLL – Samuel Rose has been appointed data centre transactions director in EMEA. He will be responsible for site provisioning, acquisition and disposals, working closely with Tom Glover, head of data centre transactions, EMEA. Rose joins from Cushman & Wakefield where he was land transaction adviser for the EMEA data centres team.

IFM InvestorsRekha Misra has been appointed global head of product strategy and innovation. She was most recently the global COO at WTW. Prior to WTW, Misra was global COO at Holland Capital Management, and has held senior positions at Barclays Funds and Advisory, and Credit Suisse Asset Management. Based in London, Misra will report to chief strategy officer Luba Nikulina and lead IFM’s global product capabilities.

NTR – The sustainable infrastructure investor and asset manager has appointed Stephen Campion as head of finance. Campion has over 15 years of investment experience in the renewable energy and real estate sectors, most recently as chief commercial officer at Simply Blue Group. Prior to this, Campion was head of finance at Kennedy Wilson Europe.

CBRERob Seabrook has joined as an executive director and will be responsible for major hotel asset sales in the UK, with a particular focus on London. Seabrook rejoins CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield, where he has been head of hotel transactions, EMEA since 2017. Before this, Seabrook was a senior member of CBRE’s UK hotels capital markets team.

Dynamic RenewablesAaron Johnson has been appointed CEO. Most recently, he served as president of renewable natural gas at Kinder Morgan. Prior to joining Kinder Morgan in 2021, Johnson served as president and CEO of Kinetrex Energy.

Knight Frank – Anthony Duggan, the firm’s head of strategy, has been appointed to a newly created role as chair of Europe. In this role he will work alongside, and build upon, the work already under way from the property adviser’s European managing directors, Mike Bowden and Mark Harvey. Duggan joined Knight Frank in September 2016 and has helped to develop the firm’s strategic agenda across the UK, the wider global network as well as leading specific Group projects around Knight Frank’s people and ESG agendas. Duggan will remain chair of Knight Frank’s ESG taskforce.

PLP – Andrew Penny has been appointed independent chairman, James Deane named finance director, and Jonathan Maher has been appointed development director. Penny served as senior adviser to the real estate corporate finance teams of Royal Bank of Canada, EY and Canaccord Genuity. Prior to this, he spent 13 years at JPMorgan, where he was a managing director, global co-head of real estate investment banking, and an approved person by the Financial Conduct Authority. Deane joins from Chancerygate where he spent 15 years in the same role. Prior to this, Deane held positions at Quintain and PwC. Maher spent the last nine years as a development director and shareholder at Bericote, and before that was a partner at Cushman & Wakefield.

RoofstockAndrew Schaffler has been appointed CIO. Schaffler will lead the investment team for Roofstock Capital Management and execute research-driven fund strategies in the SFR and build-to-rent sectors. Most recently, he was at Angelo Gordon as managing director in the real estate group and was responsible for the firm’s investments in SFR and real estate special situations. Before his tenure at Angelo Gordon, Schaffler served as the director of listed real estate securities for Madison International Realty. Prior to joining Madison in 2015, Schaffler spent nine years at Cohen & Steers Capital Management.

ESRJoanne McNamara, EVP and head of Europe for Oxford Properties has been appointed non-executive director to the company’s board of directors. At her current appointment with Oxford Properties, she is responsible for investment, development, and asset management activities in Europe across the logistics, office, life sciences, built-to-rent residential and retail sectors. McNamara is also a member of the Oxford Properties global executive committee and global investment committee, as well as sitting on the board of M7. Previously, McNamara worked at DTZ and Hammerson in corporate finance, investment, and development.

Ontario Teachers’ – Pierre Cherki has been appointed to lead the firm’s global real estate business. Cherki, who has been a member of the board of directors of the Canadian pension fund’s real estate arm Cadillac Fairview since 2022, will take on the new role of executive managing director of real estate from 22 January next year in Toronto. Cherki led the DWS alternatives business for two decades until March 2018, before leaving in 2020.

Mission Clean Energy – The US utility-scale solar and battery storage developer has appointed John Richardson as vice-president of finance. Richardson will lead the financial aspects of the company, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets activity.  Before joining the company, Richardson served in leadership roles at CRC-IB before co-founding Acadia Infrastructure Capital and CRC-IB’s predecessor investment affiliate.

NCC – The construction firm has appointed Niklas Sparw head of NCC building in Sweden and Helena Hed the new head of NCC green industry transformation. Sparw is currently division manager within NCC. Hed is currently CEO of the listed consulting group Projektengagemang. She has previously worked for 19 years within Sweco, including as CEO of Sweco Management and as regional manager for Sweco Rail and Sweco Environment. Both will join NCC’s senior management team.

Gurner GroupAhmed Fahour has been appointed group chief executive officer. Fahour will be making a minority investment in the Melbourne-based property and lifestyle group. Founder and chairman Tim Gurner, who has also had the role of CEO, will now focus on the group’s future direction around its core business of wellness, hospitality, design, property management, funds management, build-to-sell and build-to-rent property development.

Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden – Board director Eva Swartz Grimaldi is leaving the board due to health reasons, with immediate effect. Grimaldi has been a member of the board since 2017.

Windy Hill DevelopmentAlan Mueller has been appointed director of development. Mueller spent eight years as deputy city manager in Pearland, Texas.
