Clarion Partners – Kimberly Adams will be joining the firm’s senior leadership team as a managing director in early 2024. In this new role, she will be responsible for spearheading Clarion’s global strategies targeting alternative property sectors. Adams joins Clarion after more than 20 years with JPMorgan, where for the last 10 years, she led the portfolio management team of its real estate investment strategy. Previously, Adams had been focused on asset management and acquisitions for JPMorgan, Prudential Real Estate, and LaSalle Investment Management.
ArcLight Capital Partners – Andrew L Ott, former president and CEO of PJM Interconnection, has been appointed senior advisor. Ott will work with ArcLight on new investment opportunities in the power, infrastructure, and energy transition sectors. While at PJM, Ott helped launch the wholesale energy market and held a number of senior leadership positions before becoming CEO in 2015. He also served on the board of PJM. Ott is head of technical and partner operations at X, The Moonshot Factory’s tapestry project. He serves as co-chairman of the Energy Transition Forum.
Savills – David Lipson has been appointed CEO of Savills North America. Lipson, who has served as the global advisory firm’s North American president since 2021, will succeed Mitchell E Rudin, the firm’s North American CEO since 2020. Rudin will transition to the role of chairman North America, where he will continue to serve on the firm’s North American executive board and provide strategic guidance to the management team. Rudin and Lipson will assume their respective roles on 1 January 2024. Prior to his appointment as president in 2021, Lipson led the Washington DC practice of Savills for over 10 years.
Hines – Michael Masotti has been appointed senior director of leasing, Canada. In his newly created role, Masotti will be responsible for leasing strategy and execution for Hines’s commercial real estate portfolio across Canada. Additionally, he will play a key role in managing the project and property leasing teams, and maintaining and growing the company’s third-party intermediary relationships. Masotti brings more than 11 years of brokerage, sales and leadership experience to Hines, most recently serving as senior director, industrial leasing, North America at Ivanhoé Cambridge. Previous to that role, he served as associate vice president at Devencore.
Paref – Anne Schwartz has been appointed deputy CEO. Schwartz joined Paref Group in 2019 as CEO of Paref Gestion, to lead the development of the third-party asset management activities. She began her career in asset management and real estate project management, then held different positions in fund management. She became deputy CEO of AXA REIM SGP and member of the executive committee of AXA IM Real Assets.
Europa – Gemma Skeath has been appointed MD, head of legal and compliance. Based in London, Skeath is a key senior hire and will be responsible for heading up the legal and compliance functions at Europa, as well as providing legal counsel and support for all business products and strategies. Skeath brings over a decade of legal experience and joins from Goldman Sachs International where she spent nearly seven years, most latterly as executive director and senior counsel. Prior to that, Skeath worked at DLA Piper.
Folksam – The Swedish pensions and insurance group has appointed Jonas Bjuggren to replace Lars Johnsson, who was due to leave at the end of September. Bjuggren has been working as a consultant since March, with an assignment as property director at Swedish state-owned research institute RISE. Before that, he was director of administration at state-owned educational property manager Akademiska Hus, having previously worked for many years at real estate company Vasakronan, which is owned by four Swedish national pensions buffer funds.
Colliers – Achim Degen, current managing director in Munich, has been appointed CEO of Colliers in Germany. Degen succeeds Matthias Leube, formerly CEO and head of capital markets, Germany, who has mutually agreed with Colliers to leave the company to pursue other endeavours. Degen was previously managing partner of Colliers International Deutschland from 1999 to 2022.
CBRE – Stephen Proudley has been appointed executive director and head of Northern retail. Proudley will be responsible for spearheading CBRE’s retail offering in the North. He joins from Savills, where he has been a director in the retail team for over five years. Prior to this, he was head of North West transactional agency at Lambert Smith Hampton following the firm’s acquisition of Tushingham Moore in 2015. Proudley was one of five equity partners at Tushingham Moore, having joined in 1997.
ST Telemedia Global Data Centres – Chris Street has been appointed as group chief revenue officer, a newly created group role designed to support the company’s growth, while Thomas Ee has been appointed as group chief operating officer. Jonathan King will continue in his role as chief strategy and investment officer. Street previously served as group chief marketing officer. He joined the company in 2016 as group general manager in Singapore. Prior to rejoining the company, Street was managing director and head of data centres in Asia Pacific at JLL. Street’s career also includes notable positions at companies such as PDG, Amazon, Equinix, Switch & Data, and AT&T. Street currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Data Centre Chapter at SGTech. Ee previously worked in businesses managed by the Macquarie Asset Management group across various roles, including board directorships and senior management positions at telecommunications and data centre businesses operating in the Asia Pacific region. In Taiwan, Ee served as the CEO of Taiwan Broadband Communications and later assumed the role of executive chairman.
Stoneweg – Juan Manuel Sevillano Campalans has been appointed managing director of Stoneweg Places & Experiences. Campalans previously spent 25 years as managing director of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. Based in Barcelona, Campalans will be responsible for the platform’s growth and will oversee the team.
Empira – The Swiss-based institutional real estate investment firm has appointed Michael Bennett as director of client solutions, USA. Prior to joining Empira, Bennett began his career at Morgan Stanley with their real estate private equity funds focused on acquisitions, asset management and capital raising. In 2002, Bennett stepped away from Morgan Stanley and served six years as a non-commissioned officer in the US Army 75th Ranger Regiment Special Operations. Upon his return to real estate, Bennett raised capital as both agent and principal with Hodes Weill, Round Hill Capital and Tribeca Investment Group.
HqO – Alexandre Clemente has been appointed to lead the company’s business development across Southern Europe. Clemente has joined HqO’s regional leadership team and is responsible for business development for HqO’s portfolio across France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Clemente joined HqO from asset management and leasing provider VTS where he spent three years in business development. Prior to that he was a portfolio manager and real estate analyst with British Land.
