CBRE Investment Management – Catriona Buckley has been appointed senior director in the client solutions team. Based in London, she will be responsible for client engagement for UK and Irish investors, including local government pension schemes, defined contribution (DC) platforms, consultants and multi-managers. Buckley has over 15 years of experience and joins from Gresham House, a specialist alternative asset manager, where she was responsible for consultant relations and direct institutional sales to defined benefit (DB) and DC pension schemes and multi-managers. Prior to this, Buckley worked at Fidelity International, where she was responsible for UK consultant relations, focused on the firm’s real estate, credit and fixed-income capabilities. Buckley started her career at Allied Irish Banks, where she was part of the team responsible for managing credit securities.
ArcLight Capital Partners – Gerry Anderson, former DTE Energy chairman and CEO, has been appointed senior adviser and ArcLight Power Infrastructure board member. He will work with ArcLight to identify new investment opportunities in utilities, renewables and carbon capture. Anderson recently retired as executive chairman of DTE Energy after almost 30 years at the Detroit-based company. He held executive leadership roles throughout his tenure before being named president in 2004, CEO in 2010, and chairman in 2011. Before joining DTE Energy, Anderson was a senior consultant at McKinsey & Co, where he specialised in the energy sector and financial institutions.
NLV – Jan Willem Siekman has been appointed CEO of PMT and Rail & OV’s newly created direct real estate investment management company. Siekman has a background as head of distribution and sales for various asset management firms including Aegon AM, MN, Amundi and Robeco. NLV will become operational in January next year, when the 50 real estate specialists of MN and Rail & OV join the firm.
Arjun Infrastructure Partners – Asher Garnett has been appointed managing director in the European asset manager’s investor relations team. Garnett joins from Legal & General Investment Management where he was head of real estate and infrastructure distribution. Garnett has nearly 20 years’ experience in real estate and infrastructure, including roles with Lendlease, UBS Asset Management, BlackRock and Bank of America. In his new capacity, Garnett will be responsible for capital raising in various regions of the world including building global consultant relationships.
Lendlease – Austin Mitchell has joined the real estate group as head of equity capital markets, based in London. Mitchell will be responsible for building, developing and maintaining institutional investor relationships and developing products and strategies to grow Lendlease’s European business. Mitchell held various global leadership positions for Nuveen Real Estate in a 17-year career at the firm before leaving at the end of 2022. Mitchell started his career at King Sturge (now JLL) and Schroders and most recently served as a senior adviser to Savills.
Slate Grocery REIT – Joe Pleckaitis, finance SVP at Slate Asset Management, has been appointed CFO of Slate Grocery REIT. Pleckaitis will replace Andrew Agatep, who is stepping down from his role as CFO to pursue other opportunities. Pleckaitis joined Slate in 2017 and most recently has been leading the financial function for Slate’s North American private equity business, which spans Slate’s opportunistic real estate, real estate debt, and infrastructure strategies. He oversees all financial aspects of the business, including corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting, and financial reporting and debt. Prior to joining Slate, Pleckaitis worked in the real estate audit practice at Deloitte.
Quadrant – The UK real estate manager and developer has appointed Alyssa Vogt as associate partner. Vogt joins from Lazard, where she worked as an investment banking analyst responsible for underwriting and restructuring transactions. Prior to this she worked for Franzen & Company in Zurich.
Oxford Properties – Chad Remis has been promoted to a newly created CIO role. The firm has also nominated six new Oxford professionals to its expanded global executive committee which includes the promotion of Liz Murphy to CFO. Remis previously led Oxford’s North American business in his role as EVP of North America. Liz Murphy, who has played a dual role of SVP of finance at Oxford and global head of tax at OMERS for almost five years, has been promoted to become Oxford’s CFO and joins its executive committee. Allison Wolfe, Oxford’s outgoing CFO and global head of portfolio management will be leaving the organisation in September. Alessandro Fiascaris, head of Asia-Pacific; Claire McIntyre, head of corporate & public affairs; Nu Suwankosai, head of global credit; Randy Hoffman, EVP North American investments and Tyler Seaman, EVP Canada, have all been nominated to join Oxford’s executive committee.
Lincoln Property – Alison Daubert has been appointed chief strategy and M&A officer. In addition to M&A, Daubert also leads strategic initiatives in support of the company’s growth. Daubert was most recently partner at Baker Tilly. Prior to Baker Tilly, Daubert served as an investment professional at RUBICON Technology Partners in Silicon Valley. She began her career at PwC.
Knight Frank – The global property adviser has promoted Joey Vlasto to the role of regional head for the Americas. In his new role, Vlasto will be responsible for facilitating collaboration and shared client mandates between Knight Frank and its US partners, as well as promoting and developing Knight Frank’s global platform on the ground across the Americas region. For the past 16 years, Vlasto has worked at Knight Frank based in New York. He joined Knight Frank in 2007 as a global liaison responsible for international inquiries and the management of US clients’ overseas projects, before being promoted to partner where he oversaw Knight Frank’s US operations and played a key role in the development and formation of its US partnerships. Prior to joining Knight Frank, Vlasto spent three years in an international management and liaison role for BNP Paribas Real Estate with their US partner.
Charter Hall Social Infrastructure Limited – Bevan Towning has been appointed independent non-executive director. Towning has recently retired from a full-time executive role at AustralianSuper, where he was responsible for the global unlisted property portfolio. Before joining AustralianSuper, Towning was global head of funds at Cromwell Property based in their London office. Prior to these roles, Towning held various leadership and senior management positions in real funds management, development and construction, and capital placement in leading Australian real estate businesses.
BioMed Realty – Charlie Piscitello has joined the company as chief people officer. Piscitello will lead the company’s human resource-related functions, including talent management, culture, and diversity, equity. Piscitello most recently served as chief people officer at Acutus Medical. Prior to joining Acutus Medical in 2019, Piscitello was the chief people officer for Petco, and president and chairman of the Petco Foundation. Piscitello has also held leadership roles at Boston Scientific, Abbott, First Data Corporation, Gateway and Coors Brewing Company.
