Patrizia has extended its property technology portfolio into North America via a partnership with Camber Creek.

The €45bn real assets manager has invested an undisclosed amount in Camber Creek Fund III, a proptech fund which has raised $155m (€128m) at final close.

The fund will invest in real estate technology companies operating in areas like construction, development, asset management and leasing.

The latest investment follows a number of proptech investments Patrizia has made, including investment in Taronga Ventures’ RealTech Ventures Fund, an Asian venture capital platform which targets companies active in proptech, construction technology, mobility, infrastructure, energy and sustainability, as well as data and internet of things.

It also previously made an investment in a fund managed by Pi Labs in Europe and has investments in Cognotekt, EVANA, WiredScore, Control.IT and BrickVest.

Following the Camber Creek investment, Patrizia’s has now made proptech investments in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Manuel Käsbauer, chief technology and innovation officer at Patrizia, said: “With our strategic investment in Camber Creek we are securing our early access to future technologies and innovation hubs in one of the most dynamic global technology markets.

“Our partnership with Camber Creek will further help us identify the best solutions that enable advanced services and better investment choices for our clients.”

Jeffrey Berman, a general partner at Camber Creek, said: “We are excited to be collaborating with Patrizia as a key player in real estate innovation.

“The entrepreneurial and future-oriented spirit of Patrizia together with their strategic focus on cutting edge and industry-transformational technology, makes them an ideal limited partner for us.”
