New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has approved a €100m commitment to a co-investment vehicle to invest alongside the fifth global fund managed by Antin Infrastructure Partners.

The pension fund disclosed that it has placed the capital into the AIP co-investment fund which invests alongside Antin Infrastructure Partners V, a fund targeting a €10bn fundraise and a €12bn hard cap.

As reported in July this year, NYSCRF approved a €250m commitment directly into Antin Infrastructure Partners V.

Antin Infrastructure Partners V’s investments will cover energy, environment, telecom, transport and social infrastructure sectors.

NYSCRF also disclosed that it has added a 585,637sqft industrial asset to its US real estate portfolio. The pension fund bought the BlueLinx Industrial Storage property in Lawrenceville, Georgia through a separate account with JP Morgan Asset Management.

The seller, Stockbridge, declined a request for comment.

NYSCRF also issued a $10m commitment to Alpaca Real Estate JV I, as part of the pension fund’s real estate emerging manager programme.

The opportunistic joint venture will invest in a diversified portfolio across North America.
