B Capital Partners, investing on behalf of its energy infrastructure fund, has acquired a stake in two Finnish wind farms from developer Puhuri.

The investment firm’s B Capital Energy Transition Infrastructure Fund has invested an undisclosed amount to acquire a 34.1% stake in the Kaukanen and Keso wind farms.

The Keso wind park in Haapavesi consists of seven Vestas V162 wind turbines with a total capacity of 42MW. The Kaukanen wind park in Kannus consists of eight Vestas V162 wind turbines with a total capacity of 45MW.

Both wind farms were ready for commercial use in February this year.

B Capital’s founder Barbara Weber said: “We are proud to have become a new co-investor alongside Puhuri to the newly commissioned wind parks Kaukanen and Keso. We are looking forward to enjoying a long-term relationship in managing these wind farms together with Puhuri.”

In addition to its portfolio of renewable assets, the company has made several investments in battery assets in Germany and a hydropower run-of-river plant in Switzerland over the past six months.
