Artemis Real Estate Partners has so far secured $1.4bn (€1.2bn) in total capital commitments for its latest US healthcare property strategy, according to a recent SEC filing.

The total commitments comprise $1.2bn directed into Artemis Real Estate Partners Healthcare Fund III and an additional $200m in co-investment capital raised by the manager.

As previously reported, Fund III targets a $1.5bn capital raise and will invest in medical office, senior housing and debt.

Contributors to the fund include California State Teachers Retirement System at $300m, Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds which made an initial $150m commitment with a potential $50m upsize, San Francisco Employees Retirement System added $60m and the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund at $50m.

Artemis has begun the investment process for the commingled fund, according to sources tracking its fundraising.
