Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds is considering a $200m (€183m) commitment to Artemis Real Estate Partners’ latest healthcare property fund.
The pension fund disclosed in a meeting document that if the commitment is approved, it will make a $150m initial commitment to Artemis Real Estate Partners Healthcare Fund III, with a potential $50m upsize to be assessed later in the fundraising period.
According to sources, Artemis Real Estate aims to raise $1.5bn for Fund III. This follows the manager’s $1bn raise for Fund II, which closed in July 2022 after a $750m target was exceeded.
Fund III will invest in senior housing, medical office properties and healthcare debt.
Artemis Real Estate, which was recently acquired by Barings, declined a request for comment.
