Stefan Rose has left Edmond de Rothschild to join UBS Asset Management’s infrastructure debt investment team.
Rose, who was part of the infrastructure debt team at Edmond de Rothschild, joins UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) business as a portfolio manager.
UBS said he will initially focus on the remaining commitments of REPM’s inaugural Archmore Infrastructure Debt Platform. REPM manages $4bn (€3.4bn) of infrastructure – both equity and debt – investments.
Rose will be based in London and will report Tommaso Albanese, head of infrastructure at REPM.
Rose has more than 17 years of experience in financing pan-European infrastructure projects, previously working in the Infrastructure and PFI/PPP team at Mizuho Bank for 14 years covering the EMEA region.
Albanese said: “The appointment of Stefan further enhances both the depth of expertise and the reach of our team, as we continue to develop REPM’s Infrastructure platform.”
He added that UBS was responding growing appetitie for infrastructure among institutional investors “by recruiting the best candidates, allowing us to act on and manage the opportunities being identified in the market, as well as to formulate innovative new products that capture the demand for the sector”.
