Patrizia Immobilien has sold 61 residential assets in the Netherlands for €200m to Woonzorg Nederland and Amvest.

The German real estate investment manager said the portfolio contains 1,728 homes located throughout 30 municipalities.

The buyers will divide the homes into 1,306 rented houses for senior citizens and 422 residential properties.

Peter Helfrich, country head of Patrizia Netherlands, said the current upswing in the Dutch housing market lends itself perfectly to “optimising our portfolio”, in line with a strategy to focus on the most attractive Dutch cities.

“This portfolio is an interesting investment product because of the current good financing possibilities, the size of the portfolio and the attractive yield in the regions,” he said.

“We were able to realise this transaction in a very short time, with a unique combination of buyers as a result.”

Patrizia Netherlands currently manages over €1.3bn in investments across the residential and commercial sectors.
