Real estate investment manager Kingstone Real Estate has added a second managing partner to its Benelux business as it gears up to expand in the region.
Voas Brouns joins Kingstone Benelux as co-managing partner alongside Jean Klijnen, who was appointed in June.
The duo will focus on investments in residential real estate, including student and senior living. Other real estate asset classes will also be considered.
Brouns has over 40 years of experience in the real estate investment management business and has held senior positions at, among others, APG, Bouwfonds Investment Management, Vesteda and, most recently, as the founder and managing partner of Catella Investment Management Benelux.
In recent years, he successfully established residential real estate funds for German institutional investors.
Commenting on his new role, Brouns said: ‘Due to its sustainable excess demand, the Dutch residential real estate market is very attractive. Given the current market upheaval, we expect to see some exciting investment opportunities coming up in the near term.’
He added: ‘To ensure we generate attractive returns for our investors in today's market environment, the right timing is essential. This is where many decades of intensive and carefully fostered contacts with the relevant players on the Dutch residential real estate market will be very beneficial.’
Headquartered in Munich, Kingstone Real Estate is an owner-managed real estate investment management group founded by the Schomberg family and Pegasus Capital Partners.
