AustralianSuper – Australia’s largest super fund has formally established a presence in London, opening an office in King’s Cross. The team is led by Trish Curry. AustralianSuper’s head of external relations, Stephen McMahon, told IPE Real Estate the fund was basing staff in London because of AustralianSuper’s increasing involvement in direct investments, “particularly global property and infrastructure deals”. 

Legal & General Capital – Stephen Halliwell has been named CFO. Halliwell was previously CFO at 3i Infrastructure, having joined the company in 1998. Halliwell was group finance director for 3i Group from 2009 to 2010.

CR – Stéphane Adolf has joined from Hypothekenbank Frankfurt (formerly Eurohypo) to be managing director of special situations and mid-market lending activities. Adolf has spent 21 years at Hypothekenbank Frankfurt. His most recent role was head of commercial real estate for international markets.

NREP – Stefan Wallander has joined as a partner in the firm’s Stockholm office. Wallander joins from Modern Times Group, where he spent four years as senior vice-president and head of M&A and business development. Wallander has worked for Credit Suisse, ABN AMRO and RBS. 

MUFG Investor Services – Kate Stallard has been named executive director of business development for the EMEA region. Stallardfounded financial services consultancy IRIS Partners. She has also worked for Northern Trust, as well as HSBC, IPES and Cinven.

BNP Paribas Real Estate – Anthony Lee and Steve Cooper will become joint heads of the residential business next month. Lee will lead on affordable housing and consultancy, while Cooper will focus on the agency side of the business, covering land sales and acquisitions in London and across the UK. Fellow senior director Cooper leads the central London residential agency business.

Capital Bay – Markus Holzer has joined as the new head of the fund management. Holzer joined from Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing where he was managing director and chief investment officer. Prior to this, Holzer was an associate director at JLL.
