Partners Group has raised $700m (€620m) for a multi-asset credit strategy, including infrastructure and real estate debt.

The investment manager said it was the first pooled investment programme to offer investors access to private real assets and corporate debt.

Senior secured and subordinated debt, with select investments in high yield bonds and distressed situations, will be targeted.

Partners Group said the vehicle was created after the firm invested in a similar strategy for individual mandates.

Christoph Rubeli, co-chief executive and co-head Investments at Partners Group, said the demand for the multi-asset credit programme showed institutional investors’ interest in a “low-risk strategy offering attractive returns” as an alternative to the low-yielding bond market and volatile equity market.

Partners has financed 35 private markets credits in range of sectors and geographies.

The programme’s real estate portfolio includes a senior acquisition loan on a shopping centre in a private housing estate in Hong Kong.
