Virginia Retirement System has disclosed making $525m (€453.6m) worth of non-core real estate commitments via Quad Capital Partners, Blackstone and Artemis Real Estate Partners funds.

The $96bn pension fund has added Quad Capital Partners to its real estate manager lineup with a $200m commitment to the QuadCP Fund I, placed $200m into the Blackstone Real Estate Partners Asia III fund and commitment $125m to the Artemis Real Estate Partners Fund IV fund.

The QuadCP Fund I fund targets US education assets. Quad Capital did not respond to a request for comment.

Last year, IPE Real Assets reported that Blackstone had raised $4bn for the opportunistic Asia III fund and expected to more than double this to $9bn.

Artemis Real Estate Partners is seeking to raise $1.5bn for its fund which target value-add acquisitions in the US.
