Employees Retirement System (ERS) of Texas has approved three new commitments for infrastructure and real estate totaling $119.8m (€113m), as reported by the pension fund and confirmed to IPE Real Assets.
One of the commitments is for a private infrastructure fund, with $50m earmarked for DigitalBridge Partners III commingled fund.
The fund manager is known as a global investor in digital infrastructure, with targeted sectors including data centres, fibre, macro cell towers, edge infrastructure and small cell towers.
Texas Employees is also growing its real estate portfolio with two commitments, including a $55m investment in Longpoint Fund III, which focuses on industrial and neighbourhood shopping centres in densely populated regions in the US. Longpoint Realty Partners manages the fund.
Texas Employees has expanded its industrial exposure in Europe with an additional €14m commitment to the Prologis European Logistics Fund, building on an earlier investment in the same fund.
DigitalBridge Partners and Longpoint Realty Partners both declined to comment.
