SUSI Partners is partnering with German-based Nextbike to rollout bike-sharing infrastructure in European cities.
SUSI Partners, investing on behalf of its Energy Efficiency Fund II fund, has agreed to provide funding for an initial portfolio of 15 projects in Germany, Austria, Sweden and Italy.
SUSI said it expects to extend the financing to further cities across Europe. The agreement marks SUSI’s first transaction in the wider transport sector.
TIER Mobility-owned Nextbike has been developing smart bike-sharing schemes since 2004, having established bike-sharing systems in over 300 cities across 20 countries.
