Jan-Willem Ruisbroek, APG Asset Management’s managing director of infrastructure and private natural capital, is leaving the Dutch pensions manager after nearly two decades.

APG confirmed that Ruisbroek has decided to step down on 1 July to pursue new professional challenges and continue his career development.

A successor has yet to be appointed.

Ruisbroek joined APG in 2006. During his tenure, he held several key roles, including head of global infrastructure investment strategy and senior portfolio manager, where he was responsible for sourcing, acquiring and monitoring private equity investments in infrastructure companies.

He has also served as a non-executive director at Brisa, the Portuguese toll-road operator, since October 2020.

In his most recent role, he played a key part in building and developing the infrastructure and private natural capital team, APG said.

“After almost two decades at APG AM, this is a good moment to step back and create space for a new phase,” Ruisbroek said. “This summer gives me the opportunity to recalibrate and consider thoughtfully what my next professional step will be.”
