Igneo Infrastructure Partners has expanded its US aviation platform with the acquisition of fixed-base operator (FBO) FlightServ for an undisclosed sum.

Igneo made the acquisition through its FBO platfom Infinity Aviation, securing FlightServ’s general aviation operations and hangar facilities at Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey.

FlightServ operates on-airport general aviation assets at Trenton-Mercer Airport, comprising fuelling services and 80,000sqft of hangar space built in 2023.

The transaction also includes an adjacent development parcel intended for additional hangar expansion.

The deal represents the third location and second bolt-on acquisition for Infinity Aviation.

John Ma, partner and co-head at Igneo in North America, said: “This acquisition is an important next step for Infinity Aviation and aligns closely with Igneo’s strategy to invest in essential infrastructure businesses with strong market positions and long-term growth potential. Demand for quality general aviation hangar infrastructure across the US continues to grow, and exceed supply, particularly in the New York metropolitan area.

“The facilities at Trenton provide Infinity Aviation with a modern, well-located base in that market, and significant hangar expansion capacity.”

Steven Levesque, CEO of Infinity Aviation, said: “FlightServ is exactly the kind of business we set out to acquire when we launched the Infinity Aviation platform with Igneo: a well-run operation at a strategically located airfield, with real room to grow across the New York and Philadelphia markets.

“We are pleased to welcome the FlightServ team to Infinity, and we look forward to working alongside them, the airport and the wider Trenton aviation community as we continue to build an industry-leading general aviation services business.”
