Investment manager Realterm has expanded its European industrial outdoor storage (IOS) footprint into Germany with the acquisition of a 244,771sqft facility in Hesse.
Realterm has invested an unspecified sum to acquire the fully leased Hermesstraße 1 asset in Friedewald.
Balazs Lados, MD, European fund manager at Realterm, said: “With this landmark acquisition, Realterm continues its strategic expansion across Europe. Germany represents one of Europe’s most mature and sophisticated logistics markets.
“This acquisition of a premier last-mile and IOS logistics facility marks the first of many planned investments in the country as we grow our footprint in critical transportation infrastructure markets across the continent.”
Christian Siegmund, senior vice president at Realterm, said: “This acquisition represents a unique opportunity to acquire a key asset in one of Europe’s strongest transportation-oriented markets.
“The property’s central location and exceptional highway connectivity, combined with its long-term lease profile, make it an indispensable component of Germany’s parcel distribution infrastructure.”
Since entering the European market five years ago, Realterm has expanded its regional platform, closing its second pan-European logistics fund at €470m in 2025.
Realterm, which specialises in transportation-focused industrial outdoor storage and logistics real estate, currently manages a portfolio valued at over €1bn across Europe.
