Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners – Brian Restall, currently Quinbrook’s Australian regional leader, will transition to the newly created role of CEO of Quinbrook by year-end. Restall will assume overall leadership responsibility for the management of all Quinbrook regional teams based in North America, Europe and Australia. Restall has worked for Quinbrook since its founding in 2015, and with the founders in their predecessor investment management roles since 2011. Restall has more than 28 years’ experience in energy-related infrastructure investments and operating businesses in Australia, the US, Europe and Africa. Giulia Siccardo joins Quinbrook as managing director and succeeds John Lucas, who leaves at the end of the month, as the regional leader of Quinbrook for North America. Siccardo was most recently at the US Department of Energy in Washington, DC, in her role as the first-ever director of manufacturing and energy supply chains. She also led the development of the National Security Council’s energy supply chain strategy. Prior to her role for the US Government, Siccardo spent over a decade as a partner of McKinsey & Co in San Francisco and New York. Kathryn Lin, a director in Quinbrook’s North American investment team, has been promoted to senior director and leader of Quinbrook’s digital infrastructure strategies. Lin is the investment lead and a director of the board of Quinbrook portfolio company Rowan Digital Infrastructure. Lin is an infrastructure investment specialist with more than a decade of experience across infrastructure investments, project development, M&A, financing and asset management.

BaringsJohn Lippmann has joined the firm as head of US real estate capital markets. Lippmann will lead the strategy and execution of asset and fund leverage for US debt and equity real estate portfolios and will support various strategic growth initiatives. He will be based in New York and will report to Shawn Kimble, head of US & European capital markets and business strategy. With more than 27 years of industry experience, Lippmann joins Barings after serving as head of structured debt and as a portfolio manager in the real estate group at NYL Investors. Prior to that, he worked in real estate restructuring for FTI Consulting and in originations and portfolio management at Eurohypo AG. Lippmann began his career in the real estate and lodging investment banking group at JPMorganChase.

Cohen & SteersSeth Laughlin has been appointed SVP and head of real estate strategy and research. Laughlin will lead the team responsible for identifying and analysing long-term and secular real estate investment ideas, as well as heading an integrated listed and private real estate strategy function. Laughlin joins Cohen & Steers with over 20 years of real estate experience. He most recently served as MD and head of US market research at Green Street. Prior to that, he was head of US institutional equities at Green Street. He also worked as an equity research analyst at ISI Group, covering residential & storage REITs, and as an Institutional equities REIT sector specialist at Merrill Lynch.

Harrison StreetPenny Christy has been appointed MD and global head of investor services, and Atsushi Sumitomo as director of investor relations for the firm’s Tokyo office. In this newly created role, Christy leads the investor services function across the investor relations team, implementing policies and procedures on a global basis to help maintain best practices. Christy was most recently, the global head of investor services at Hines. Prior to Hines, she led client servicing at Barings and held investment roles at AEW and The Grossman Companies. Sumitomo focuses on deepening relationships with Japanese institutional investors and representing Harrison Street’s global investment strategies, and his appointment builds on the firm’s growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Sumitomo most recently served as senior manager, overseas business at Nomura Real Estate Asset Management.

Mill Creek ResidentialBrent Elkins has been appointed executive managing director of investment management. Elkins will be based in the company’s Boston office and will play a central role in the company’s strategic planning and investor engagement, both domestically and globally. Most recently, he served as head of real estate capital partnerships at Avenue One, where he developed tailored investment programs for institutions to assemble national single-family rental portfolios and execute multiple build-to-rent strategies. Previously, over a span of 15 years, he led global capital formation at Beacon Capital Partners, BlackRock Real Estate and Colony Capital, now DigitalBridge. Earlier in his career, Elkins held senior roles in principal investing and investment banking at Morgan Stanley and was an acquisition officer and portfolio manager at AMB, now Prologis.  

ScallierRafał Langer has been appointed to lead the firm’s property management department as head of property management. Langer brings over 20 years of experience in managing commercial real estate in Poland, including projects in the office, warehouse, retail, service, and residential sectors, as well as large-format facilities.

Newmark Polska – Ewa Nowak, a commercial property valuer, has joined the firm’s valuation department as senior associate. Prior to joining Newmark Polska, Nowak served as director at advisory firm Polish Properties Valuation Services, having previously worked for King Sturge. Nowak also runs property valuation courses and continues to develop her expertise, focusing on emerging market trends.

Paref Gestion  – David Aubin has been appointed deputy CEO to support the firm’s growth strategy in France and abroad. Alongside Anne Schwartz, CEO, he will oversee all third-party management activities, enhance the visibility of Paref Gestion’s investment solutions and SCPI, while continuing to pursue operational excellence for the benefit of our clients and partners, both in France and abroad. With over 30 years of professional experience, Aubin began his career in investment banking at Société Générale, where he managed relationships with financial institutions. He then served as MD at BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management. Subsequently, he founded Atlantistar, a real estate investment and development firm, and co-founded Victoires Haussmann and ClubFunding, platforms dedicated to asset management and crowdfunding. He was later appointed deputy CEO of Eternam, an alternative investment fund management company and a subsidiary of the Cyrus Group.

SUSI Partners – Jen Phua has joined to head the company’s distribution and client relations efforts across Asia-Pacific markets. Based in Singapore, she will expand SUSI’s in-house client coverage to the growing institutional capital markets of the APAC region. She joins SUSI from Macquarie Asset Management in Singapore, where she led institutional fundraising efforts for the company’s private credit initiatives in APAC markets. Prior to that, she held senior roles at EIG Global Partners, Canaccord Genuity, HSBC and BNP Paribas.
