INREV – The European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate has appointed Lucy Fletcher as the new chair. A board member since 2021, Fletcher previously served on INREV’s investor advisory council, and she brings over 26 years of experience in the global real estate industry to the role. In her current role as fund manager within CBRE Investment Management’s indirect private real estate team, she is responsible for fund strategy and performance. She previously served as managing director and global head of portfolio management at QuadReal in Vancouver, held a senior position at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Asia Pacific, and worked at JLL in Chicago. Robert-Jan Foortse, head of European property investments at APG Asset Management; Dennis Lopez, CEO of Quadreal; and Mahdi Mokrane, co-head of fund management at Patrizia have also joined the INREV board for the first time. Rainer Komenda of Bayerische Versorgungskammer has also been reappointed to the board for a second consecutive three-year term. Martin Lemke, AM Alpha who has served as chair since 2021, as well as Ray Adderley, Nuveen Real Estate and Jenny Buck, who are also stepping down from the board.
Greystar – Matthias Euler has been appointed managing director for Germany and Austria. Euler will lead the business and support Greystar’s continued expansion across both countries. With more than 30 years of experience in the real estate sector, Matthias brings deep expertise in investment, asset management, and development. He has advised leading global firms including KKR, The Social Hub and International Campus Group. Earlier in his career, he spent over 15 years at CBRE Capital Markets, where he worked with international investors and led mandates across the European commercial real estate market. Euler succeeds Jan-Felipe Salzmann, who is moving on to new professional opportunities.
CIM Group – Matthew Borstein has joined as managing director, co-head of credit. At CIM Group, Borstein will play an integral role in the firm’s growing credit platform. He will work alongside Daniel Ottensoser, managing director and co-head of credit, to lead capital deployment strategies across CIM’s funds and accounts, ensuring alignment with market conditions and the firm’s broader vision, in addition to advising on key asset management decisions and team development. Before joining CIM Group, Borstein served as partner and portfolio manager at Oak Hill Advisors, where he started and led its dedicated commercial real estate business. Borstein previously served as the global head of commercial real estate at Deutsche Bank, where he built and led a global platform overseeing Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate debt origination, the expansion of its balance sheet lending portfolio, its CMBS business, the special situations group and commercial real estate repurchase and warehouse facilities. Earlier in his career, Borstein held positions at Wachovia, Nomura, and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Pender Capital – The investment manager has appointed Andrew Tran as CFO and Will Dyer as SVP of loan operations. Tran will lead accounting, finance and operational functions. Before joining Pender, Tran spent nearly 16 years overseeing finance, accounting, and operations at Coast Asset Management as CFO and COO. His experience includes consulting for American Honda Finance, serving as controller at HSBC Securities Canada, and working as an audit manager at Deloitte. Dyer will lead all loan processing and servicing for the firm’s lower middle market portfolio, which includes first-lien loans. Prior to Pender, Dyer was a principal and CIO for Bay Mountain Capital.
CP Group – Bilal Manzoor, formerly of Goldman Sachs, has joined the firm as vice president. He will be based in Atlanta and lead CP Group’s acquisitions in key Southeast markets, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and Raleigh. Most recently, Manzoor served as VP in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he advised industrial and technology clients on M&A and debt and equity capital markets. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was an associate at Deutsche Bank.
Periskop Partners – Carlo Richardt has been appointed as the new head of ESG at the company’s Berlin headquarters. Richardt will oversee the strategic development and practical implementation of the group’s sustainability objectives. In his cross-functional strategic role, he will work closely with Periskop Partners’ subsidiaries to establish a sustainable risk management approach focused on long-term value stability. Most recently, Richardt served as an ESG Specialist at ZBI GmbH, where he oversaw ESG integration at the property level and developed tailored sustainability concepts and solutions. Before that, he held various roles at Deutsche Kreditbank AG Berlin, including in the real estate services division, where he focused on digitising property valuations and measuring CO₂ emissions for the bank’s financed portfolio.
