Clarion PartnersChristian Schulte Eistrup has joined the firm as a managing director and co-head of EMEA distribution. Based in London, Eistrup will work alongside co-head Jeroen Verheijden to distribute Clarion Partners’ global real estate investment solutions to investors across Europe and the Middle East, focused on product development, capital raising, and client management. Eistrup joins from KGAL where he served as head of international institutional business and as a member of the firm’s investment committee. Prior to his time with KGAL, he served as a managing director at Optimum Asset Management and was a member of its management and investment committees. Eistrup brings over 25 years of capital markets experience, including as head of EMEA for BlackRock Alternative Specialists – Real Estate. He also held senior roles at MGPA, Corestate Capital, and Morgan Stanley Real Estate.

Zurich InsuranceAndrew Angeli has joined Zurich Insurance as global head of real estate research and strategy. According to Angeli’s LinkedIn profile, he’ll be responsible for helping craft the firm’s strategic real estate outlook. Angeli spent the last 16 years at CBRE Investment Management where he was most recently EMEA head of research.

AXA IM AltsFilipe de Sá Pessoa has been appointed head of development, Germany. He will be responsible for leading AXA IM Alts’ development activity across Germany, as well as further expanding the business and strengthening AXA IM Alts’ network of partners. Prior to joining AXA IM Alts, he spent nearly five years at MPC Capital, where he held various senior roles including head of acquisitions and development for micro-living and real estate investment director. He also previously was acquisitions and development manager at DC Developments.

Pluto Finance – The specialist property lender has appointed Matteo Broggi as associate director of fundraising and investor relations. Broggi spent over eight years in a real estate capital advisory firm focused on raising capital for funds, joint ventures, club deals and co-investments in the UK, Europe, and the US. Broggi will work alongside head of investor relations Robert Swift.

Quantum Energy PartnersSharmin Beacco has joined the firm as chief compliance officer. Beacco will be responsible for managing Quantum’s compliance programme. Prior to joining Quantum, Beacco served as chief compliance officer at TGM Associates. Before TGM Associates, Beacco was a senior principal consultant at ACA Compliance. Previously, Beacco spent more than 16 years at Deutsche Bank in its wealth management and investment compliance functions.

Deepki – The ESG data intelligence firm has appointed Sigrid Duhamel as an independent member and chairwoman of the strategic committee. Duhamel held positions as CEO France and global CIO of BNP Paribas REIM since 2017 and 2020 respectively. Prior to that, she was CEO of CBRE Global Investors France and member of the executive committee of CBRE Global Investors EMEA from 2014 to 2017. She has been active in the real estate sector since 1990 in a wide range of functions across companies such as Bouygues, Carrier, Tishman Speyer, Carrefour Property and Stellantis.

AEWEmmanuel Brechard and Matilda Williams have been appointed directors in the investor relations team, reporting into Alex Griffiths, head of investor relations Europe. Brechard is based in Paris, with responsibility for French-speaking clients and a focus on investors from France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Monaco. Brechard joined AEW in January 2023 from Bpifrance where he spent a total of ten years, including stints in both its Paris and Dubai offices. Brechard also spent four years as a structured finance associate in corporate and real estate whilst at Bpifrance, having started his career as a structured finance analyst at Banque Populaire. Williams is based in London, with responsibility for managing new and existing pan-European investor relationships. Williams joined AEW in October 2022 from the private equity real estate company PineBridge Benson Elliot, where she spent eleven years, progressing to SVP.

Ares Management CorporationDwight Merriman has been appointed as the chair of Ares Industrial Management. Merriman has also been named the co-chair of the board of directors of Ares Industrial Real Estate Income Trust, alongside Bill Benjamin, partner and global head of Ares Real Estate, as well as the chair of the Ares Real Estate Industrial Investment Committee. Dave Fazekas will be stepping into Merriman’s previous role as head of Ares Industrial Management and will also join Jeff Taylor, partner and head of product development and operations within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, as co-president of Ares Industrial Real Estate Income Trust while continuing to lead as CIO of Ares Industrial Management. Merriman joined Ares in 2021 from Black Creek, where he was the head of industrial. Previously, Merriman was CIO at Stockbridge Capital Group. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at RREEF Funds and prior to that, MD at Carr America Realty Corporation and began his career at Overton, Moore & Associates. Fazekas joined Ares in 2021 from Black Creek Group, where he was a senior MD and CIO of industrial. Fazekas was a principal at Panattoni Development. Prior to this, he was director of acquisitions at RREEF Management and was the director for the real estate equity team at ZAIS Group.

NTR – The sustainable infrastructure investor and asset manager has appointed Joginder Anand to the board, as a non-executive director. Anand is currently senior counsel in the legal division of the ADIA, responsible for transaction execution across real estate, infrastructure and private equity investments. Earlier in his career at ADIA, he held the roles of senior legal adviser to the real estate department and COO of the real estate and infrastructure department. Anand, a qualified lawyer began his career at international law firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner, spending 15 years there as an equity partner.

Real ISLeopold Stengl joins the company as director institutional clients. Together with Maximilian Helm, head of institutional clients, he will be in charge of relationship management with German insurance companies, pension schemes and pension funds. Stengl has more than 10 years of experience in the area of client relations. Most recently he was director institutional sales at Real Exchange with responsibility for raising equity capital and secondary market transactions. Before that, he worked at Catella Real Estate, in the client capital and client relations department and LaSalle Investment Management, where his activities also included raising funds from institutional investors.

CBRE Investment ManagementColin Rosenbaum and Robert Andrews have been appointed senior directors. In their roles, Rosenbaum and Andrews are the leads responsible for sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, due diligence and closing of commercial investments across the firm’s various funds and separate accounts for the Texas/Colorado/Southeast and Midwest/Northeast regions, respectively, alongside Cassondra Mehlum who joined the firm last May as a senior director responsible for the West Coast US markets. In addition to retail and office sector coverage, Rosenbaum, Andrews and Mehlum will spearhead continued growth in CBRE Investment Management’s investments in recession-resistant emerging growth sectors, including life science, medical office and self-storage assets. Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management, Rosenbaum, who is based in Dallas, was SVP of acquisitions for Regent Properties. Prior to that, he served as a MD at Parkway Properties. Rosenbaum brings a track record of more than 15 years of diverse experience in institutional real estate investment management and development. Andrews, who is based in New York, joined the firm from Baywing Capital, where he was a principal responsible for identifying, underwriting and conducting due diligence on real estate investment opportunities. He also previously served as a regional director for Rubenstein Partners, where he sourced investment opportunities for the firm’s discretionary equity and debt funds. Prior to that he had roles with RXR Realty and CapitalSource Finance. Peter Bretveld has been appointed senior director in the client solutions team. Based in Amsterdam, he will help drive capital raising efforts and support the firm’s continued growth ambitions in the Benelux market. Bretveld has over 20 years of professional experience in the real estate industry in both real estate investment and management. Bretveld joins from Kempen Capital Management, where he spent the past four years working as a senior portfolio manager real assets. Prior to this, he worked at Blue Sky also as a senior fund manager in its global real estate team.

Valesco – The London-headquartered European real estate investment and asset manager has appointed Derek Williams as managing director. Williams was most recently managing director, business development for Edmond de Rothschild’s UK real estate business. He will be responsible for growing and diversifying Valesco’s institutional client base as it looks to significantly increase assets under management. Based in London, Williams will be responsible for managing the company’s existing investor relationships as well as attracting new capital partners and supporting CEO Shiraz Jiwa in growing Valesco’s footprint and shaping the strategic direction of the business, including the launch of new investment products.

Greenman Poland – The asset manager and developer of retail assets formerly known as Newbridge Poland has appointed Barbara Wojdełko as its CEO following Greenman Group’s acquisition of the business. Wojdełko will lead the team as Greenman Poland expands further into Poland and the broader CEE region. She will be based in Warsaw and will report to Johnnie Wilkinson, CEO of Greenman Group. Wojdełko will also lead Greenman Poland’s social and sustainability initiatives. Prior to her appointment as CEO of Greenman Poland, Wojdełko was managing partner of Newbridge Poland and had overlooked the company’s finance, operations and acquisitions since 2015. She has over a decade’s worth of real estate experience and was previously an analyst for a warehouse developer active in the CEE region.
