CTP – The continental Europe industrial and logistics real estate manager has appointed Patrick Zehetmayr as CFO. Current CFO Richard Wilkinson will now focus on his previous dual role as deputy CEO primarily overseeing the company’s Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets. Zehetmayr joins CTP from Austria’s Erste Group Bank in Vienna, where he was formerly the head of the commercial real estate division. He brings over 20 years of experience in CEE markets, in all aspects of property financing, controlling, financial reporting, treasury and funding. Dirk Sosef has also been appointed head of research. Sosef was previously research and strategy VP for Prologis Europe.
CBRE Investment Management – Stefan C Ott has been appointed chief digital and technology officer. In this newly created role, Ott will develop and execute the business’s technology road map to expedite the delivery of market-leading, data-driven technology solutions across the full real assets spectrum. Ott was previously with Guardian Life, where he served in several leadership positions with responsibility for driving innovation and unlocking operating efficiencies. Prior to that, Ott was CIO for UBS Global Asset Management for Switzerland, France and Germany.
Verdion – The pan-European logistics specialists has appointed Annika Schmelzer as asset manager to support the growth of the firm’s real estate portfolio across Germany and the Benelux region. Schmelzer joins from Deutsche Real Estate AG where she worked in leasing and warranty management. Prior to that, she worked as property manager for DGIM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Immobilienmanagement. Based at Verdion’s Frankfurt office, Schmelzer will assist in integrating new properties into the portfolio as well as handling lease renewal and regear negotiations. She will also manage capex projects, working closely with Verdion’s development team.
Tiger Infrastructure Partners – Steve Holliday, Christine Weydig and Graham Sharp have all been appointed as operating partners to compliment Tiger’s existing pool of executives. Holliday is the former chief executive of National Grid and current chairman of Tiger portfolio company Zenobe Energy, which develops, owns and operates battery storage projects in the UK. Weydig is the former director of sustainability at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and incoming executive director of the Coalition for Reimagined Mobility which seeks to advance equitable and sustainable transportation globally. Sharp, formerly a founder of global energy trader Trafigura, is a senior adviser to Oliver Wyman focused on energy transition.
Hollis – The independent real estate consultancy firm has announced six key promotions, including one to director and two appointments across its European offices in Amsterdam, Berlin and Madrid. In the Amsterdam office, Katherine Beisler has been promoted to director, a year after assuming the role of head of ESG consulting. Beisler joined Hollis in 2019 as an ESG consultant. Marije van der Straaten has been promoted to senior environmental consultant. Straaten joined the firm in 2019 as part of the environmental consultancy team and specialises in project management of environmental due diligence projects for clients based in Amsterdam and across Europe. Richard de Rooij has been promoted to senior consultant. He joined the firm in 2019 and specialises in consultancy, acquisition and property management as well as marketing and legal advice for landlords and tenants. Mayyda Sheikh also joins the Amsterdam office as a junior building surveyor supporting the technical due diligence and development monitoring teams. In the Berlin office, Jeremy Riney has been promoted to senior associate. Riney joined Hollis as a project manager in 2020 and specialises in technical due diligence and project management. In the Madrid office, Cris Gasco Gonzalez has been promoted to senior associate. Gasco has over 20 years’ experience in real estate and specialises in programme, project and costs management services alongside development monitoring. Laura Arribas Velasco has been promoted to senior technical architect. Since joining, Velasco has been involved in several project-monitoring developments and has taken part in delivering TDD services. Silvia Cabrera Hernandez joins the Madrid office as an architect supporting the building surveying team. Hernandez most recently worked with a prominent real estate developer in the construction and design department.
