Teacher Retirement System of Texas has made a $200m (€175.1m) commitment to PCCP’s latest opportunistic US real estate fund that invests in a mix of debt and equity.
As part of commitments made last month, the pension fund disclosed that it placed the capital into the PCCP Equity X fund.
The fundraising target for PCCP Equity X is currently unknown, as PCCP usually refrains from commenting while still raising capital.
Texas Teachers said it has also increased its exposure to infrastructure by committing $150m to the Energy Capital Partners VI, an opportunistic fund primarily focused on North America with limited European exposure.
As previously reported, Energy Capital Partners Management is seeking to raise $5bn for Partners VI.
The pension fund also issued $100m each into ArcLight Capital Partners-managed strategies – ArcLight Power Infrastructure Partners and ArcLight Aransas Principal Investment Vehicle.
This capital is expected to be invested in non-core US infrastructure.
