Partners Group has acquired a portfolio of 19 logistics assets in Finland from the asset management arm of Finnish insurer Sampo Group.
The global private markets firm has invested an undisclosed amount on behalf of its clients to buy the 140,000sqm portfolio from Mandatum Asset Management.
Partners Group said the acquired portfolio comprised 13 assets in Helsinki, five in Tampere, and one in Oulu, adding that the assets are located in close proximity to urban areas and are therefore ideally suited for a wide range of occupiers.
Partners Group, alongside its local operating partner Trevian, expects to execute a value creation plan and will seek to scale the portfolio.
“This portfolio is another example of our thematic investing approach in action, said Anne-Jan Jager, managing director, private real estate in Europe at Partners Group.
“We have been actively targeting the logistics sector across Europe and investing in select opportunities in strategic growing locations.”
