Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund has issued a $125m (€105.1m) commitment to KKR’s global open-ended core infrastructure fund.

The $15.5bn pension fund told IPE Real Assets that it has backed the KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund because of the manager’s strong track record, its established investment team and the fund’s attractive risk-adjusted return.

Ohio Police & Fire’s 2021 real assets pacing plan was set at $120m. The assets portfolio, which has an 8% target allocation currently represents 3.4% of the total plan assets.

For real estate, the pension expects to invest as much as $220m this year. It has so far committed $60m to the Cortland Enhanced Value Fund V fund.
