Listed Swedish real estate investment firm KlaraBo is buying a portfolio of 877 rental apartments from Niam.
KlaraBo said it has agreed to buy the 62,000sqm fully-let housing portfolio in Östersund from the Nordic real estate fund manager.
The portfolio is situated in central Östersund and the city districts of Frösön, Odensala and Torvalla.
Andreas Morfiadakis, KlaraBo’s CEO, said: “I am delighted to complete an acquisition of this magnitude while also establishing our operations in a new city for the third time this year.
“Östersund is a stable and growing university city that fits well into our growth strategy, and I look forward to welcoming our new tenants to KlaraBo,”
Once the deal is completed, KlaraBo’s will have 6,509 rental apartments under management, corresponding to 492,570sqm.
KlaraBo’s plan is own and manage at least 500,000sqm of residential floor space by the end of 2025.
