The Kempen SDG Farmland Fund, backed by Dela, De Goudse, and the PostNL pension fund, has entered South America with its first investment and further expanded in New Zealand.

The €457m global sustainable farmland fund has invested an unspecified amount to acquire a water-rich and diverse farm of more than 1100 hectares in Uruguay and bought part of Gold Water Orchard, a 62-hectare organic apple orchard in New Zealand from grower John Bostock.

The Kempen SDG Farmland Fund, managed by Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management, aims to support regenerative agriculture by improving soil health, enhancing biodiversity and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
