Nordic infrastructure investor Infranode is acquiring Danish parking owner Carlsberg Byen Parking for an undisclosed sum.
Carlsberg Byen Parking owns and operates 15 underground facilities in central Copenhagen, comprising 2,874 spaces across approximately 96,000sqm.
Silas Harbo, country manager and partner at Infranode, said: “The facilities are key to Carlsberg Byen’s vision of becoming a modern and attractive district. By moving traffic underground, we’re helping create a more pedestrian-friendly environment with fewer cars on the streets, improving both how the area functions and how it feels to be there.”
The interconnected network serves the broader Carlsberg Byen district in Vesterbro-Kongens Enghave, which is home to 8,000 residents and more than 50 businesses.
“Naturally, our ambition is for the facilities to primarily serve the public and companies in Carlsberg Byen. But over time, they could also become a resource for a wider part of Vesterbro-Kongens Enghave, benefiting the public and companies across the whole area. We believe these facilities will play an important role for the district as a whole,” Harbo added.
