Illinois State Universities Retirement System (SURS) added Pantheon Ventures to its infrastructure manager lineup.

The pension fund said it has made a $100m (€85.1m) commitment to Pantheon Global Infrastructure Fund IV, a secondaries fund seeking opportunities globally.

The fund’s fundraising target is currently unknown. Pantheon raised $2.2bn for its third fund in March 2019.

Illinois SURS has also made a $50m commitment to the Blackstone Real Estate Partners Asia Fund III.

The pension fund is currently an investor in Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe VI and Blackstone Property Partners.
