Ardian’s open-ended clean energy fund has acquired Finnish wind farm Honkajoki from KGAL Investment Management and Access Capital Partners.

The Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund has invested an undisclosed amount to buy the asset in western Finland, comprising nine wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 21.6MW.

The asset was part of a renewable energy fund managed by KGAL.

Michael Ebner, managing director of KGAL Investment Management, said: “Now, we have successfully completed the divestment of Honkajoki together with Access Capital Partners in an environment of rising interest rates and high volatility in electricity markets. This is further proof of our expertise as an asset manager along the entire value chain.

“With this transaction, we underline our goal of offering investors sustainable fund solutions with attractive returns, regardless of temporary market fluctuations.”
