Aquila European Renewables Income Fund is planning to raise up to €200m to invest in a pipeline of opportunities.

The London-listed investment company said it is seeking shareholder approval to issue new shares to raise €150m or up to €200m based on investor demand.

The investment fund said its pipeline of opportunities consists of six target assets held in Aquila managed funds with an aggregate capacity of 768MW and eight target assets with an aggregate capacity of 661MW which are under negotiation.

The fund’s current portfolio comprises six renewable energy assets including five onshore wind parks located in the Norway, Denmark and Finland and a portfolio of 21 hydropower plants in Portugal.
