AEW Europe, Generali RE, Zurich Insurance, Invesco RE, CBRE GI, Genesta, Henderson GI, DLA Piper

AEW Europe – Rob Wilkinson has replaced Christian Delaire as chief executive. Wilkinson succeeds Delaire, who is in turn replacing Giancarlo Scotti at Generali Real Estate, according to a source. Wilkinson, currently CIO at AEW Europe, joined the company in 2009 as managing director, head of European fund management and separate accounts. He has previously worked for Goodman, UBS and Eurohypo. AEW Europe has also appointed Jean Lavieille to a new role, managing director of AEW Europe SA until 31 January 2015. He will then take on the role of senior adviser.

Zurich Insurance – Alessandro Bronda, former head of global property investor solutions at Aberdeen Asset Management, has joined Zurich Insurance to lead its global real estate investments. The newly created position is part of Zurich Insurance’s move to increase its exposure to property.

Invesco Real Estate – Anna Duchnowska has been appointed director of asset management for Poland, coinciding with Invesco’s opening of a Warsaw office.

CBRE Global Investors – Jeroen de Grunt has been appointed as portfolio manager for EMEA separate accounts. De Grunt joins CBRE from Bouwinvest, where he was a senior portfolio and asset manager.

Genesta – Anders Palmgren has been apppointed as a senior director, focusing on fundraising and transactions. Palmgren, who has left Catella after six years, will also join Genesta’s investment committee and board of directors, having been one of the company’s founders in 2003. He will take up the new role with immediate effect.

Henderson Global Investors – Torsten Steiner has been appointed to join the company’s research team. Steiner will focus on the German market and the Warburg-Henderson joint venture, which outsources its property research to Henderson Global Investors. Steiner was previously at JLL.

DLA Piper – Richard Hopkinson-Woolley, Laurence Rogers and Neville Wright have been recruited from BLP. Hopkinson-Woolley previously managed a real estate team at BLP, while Rogers was formerly head of real estate finance at BLP. Wright is a property tax lawyer.
