GLOBAL – LaSalle Investment Management, Corestate Capital, CBRE Global Investors, MFI, Cushman & Wakefield, DTZ.
LaSalle Investment Management – Mahdi Mokrane has been appointed head of research and strategy for Europe at LaSalle Investment Management, starting in the summer. He joins from AEW Europe, where he was head of research and strategy and a member of the company’s European investment and global securities allocation committees.
Mokrane will be a member of the firm’s UK and European investment committees as well as the European management board. Based in London, Mokrane will report to Jacques Gordon, global strategist located in Chicago, and Simon Marrison, Europe CEO.
Corestate Capital – Chief executive Phillip Burns has left the private equity real estate firm. In a statement, Corestate said: "Phillip Burns is no longer serving as CEO of Corestate Capital. Within the board of directors, Thomas Landschreiber, co-founder and chairman of the board of Corestate Capital, will be taking over his tasks."
Burns, who joined the company in February 2011, is not thought to be immediately seeking other employment. He had previously been a managing director at Terra Firma and worked at Goldman Sachs where he focused on mortgage finance, real estate and general corporate finance.
CBRE Global Investors – Olaf Bruns has been appointed director of portfolio management for Germany. He joins from UBS Global Asset Management, where he was director of portfolio management and business development.
Management Für Immobilien (MFI) – Matthias Böning, CEO, is stepping down to pursue "new entrepreneurial challenges". He has been a member of the management board since 2003 and chair since 2006. Karl Reinitzhuber, the incumbent CFO at MFI, and Michel Dessolain, a supervisory board member, will jointly head the company as co‐CEOs.
Cushman & Wakefield – Ludovic Mas has joined the capital markets team in France as consultant. He will seek to strengthen relationships with institutional investors in the French property market, particularly those with an interest in office assets. He arrives from GE Real Estate where was an associate director in the acquisition and risk division.
DTZ – Alan Colquhoun, who has worked for DTZ for 18 years in the Czech Republic, Poland, Canada and the UK, has been made the new the country head for Poland.
