Cushman & WakefieldDeutsche Bank head of German real estate operations Frank Nickel has joined Cushman & Wakefield as a partner and head of operations in Germany. Nickel, who set up Deutsche's real estate financing operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, will head a 180-member team that includes 50 recent hires.

CBRE Global InvestorsLisette van Doorn has left her role as CBRE Global Investors' country manager for Italy. The former INREV chief executive apparently left at the end of November after three years in the post. The company has not said who will replace her.

DTZ France – The company has poached CBRE executive board members Antoine Derville and Marc-Henri Bladier as president and managing director, respectively. Meanwhile, president of the French subsidiary, Gérard Margiocchi, has announced his retirement.

IFM Immobilien – Founder and chief executive Georg Glatzel has quit the company for unspecified "new entrepreneurial challenges". COO Tobias Sauerbier will take over the role jointly with Volker de Boer, previously a member of IFM's supervisory board and recently appointed as a member of the management board. Glatzel, who remains a major shareholder in the firm, said: "The house is in order."

Estavis – The German listed residential company has hired Berlinovo Immobilien Gesellschaft's Christian Wesner as its chief commercial officer and Imke Dombrowski as its in-house lawyer. The appointments are intended to support Estavis's entry into portfolio set-up and housing privatisation.

Amplion Asset Management – Nordic Real Estate Partners' Jussi Thusberg is to join Catella subsidiary Amplion Asset Management as a director in March. Thusberg, who set up NREP's Finnish business, will assume responsibility for transactions and portfolio management.

Jones Lang Lasalle – European regional valuation director Fabrice Leger has been promoted to managing director for the Maghreb as part of JLL's plan to expand in North Africa. Leger, who will transfer from Paris to Casablanca, will identify potential for advisory demand, especially in the region's hotel sector, despite short-term macro pessimism.

Blake Lapthorn – The UK law firm has hired Joe Capping as a senior associate in its real estate dispute resolution unit. Capping's professional background includes advising on disputed lease renewals and rent reviews.
