The Office Group (TOG), the Blackstone-backed UK flexible workspace provider, has added 83,000sqft of office space to its portfolio with the acquisition of two central London buildings.

TOG has paid an undisclosed sum to for the Liberty House on Regent Street and The Media Village on Great Titchfield Street, a deal which lifts the firm’s number workspaces in London to 43 buildings.

TOG said it has secured a 16-year lease on the 47,000sqft The Media Village in Fitzrovia from landlord The Langham Estate and the 36,000sqft Liberty House asset was acquired on a 20-year lease from a private investor.

Following a comprehensive refurbishment of both buildings, Liberty House and The Media Village are expected to open in mid-2020.

Charlie Green, Co-CEO at TOG, said: “Two brilliant buildings in the middle of the West End is fantastic growth for us.

“Liberty House kind of does all the work for us, given how beautiful it is and its prominence, and The Media Village will be completely repositioned to create an outstanding place to work.”

TOG was established in 2003 by Green and Olly Olsen. In June 2017, Blackstone acquired a majority interest in the company from former chairman Lloyd Dorfman.
