GLOBAL – Pramerica Real Estate Investors, Deutsche Hypo, Orchard Street Investment Management, Allianz Real Estate of America
Pramerica Real Estate Investors – Philip Barrett has been promoted within Pramerica Real Estate Investors to the position of global chief investment risk officer. He was most recently chief risk and investment officer for the Middle East, Europe, Australia and Asia, and his new role adds responsibility for the US and Latin America, the asset manager said. Barrett joined Pramerica in May 1999 after nine years at Arthur Andersen.
Deutsche Hypo – Deutsche Hypo chief executive Thomas Bürkle will be the new chief risk officer for parent company Nord/LB. He fills a vacancy that ensued when Johannes-Jörg Riegler moved to be head of BayernLB. Bürkle has led the Nord/LB real estate financing subsidiary since July 2012. His successor as chief executive of Deutsche Hypo is to be decided on "as soon as possible”, according to Nord/LB.
Orchard Street Investment Management – Philip Gadsden has been appointed managing partner at Orchard Street Investment Management from January 2014. He joined Orchard Street in May last year, and has been involved in the investment programme of the firm since then.
Allianz Real Estate of America – James Stolpestad is leaving Allianz Real Estate of America, where he has been chief executive, by mutual consent, the company said. Eric Bergwall, currently head of portfolio management, will act as interim chief executive until a permanent replacement for Stolpestad is appointed.
