GLOBAL – First State Investments, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Baird, RREEF, Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, REC, Carey Olsen

First State Investments – The asset manager has made four appointments to its listed property securities team after Stephen Hayes rejoined as head of property securities in September. Tuan Pham rejoins as a senior portfolio manager from Perennial Real Estate Investments, where he was head of Asia. Joseph Daguio also returns as an investment analyst for the Asia Pacific region. In Europe, Daniela Lungu and Boudewijn van Loen are joining the team as senior portfolio managers from CBRE Investors and Perennial, respectively.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) – Lynda Shillaw has been promoted director of real estate. From 1 January, she will have responsibility for SWIP's real estate team and more than £8bn (€10bn) in assets. She joins from Lloyds Banking Group, where she has held a number of senior corporate real estate roles. Before then, she served as managing director at the Co-operative Group, overseeing the group's property, land and farming businesses.  

Baird – The employee-owned asset manager has appointed David Rodgers as senior equity research analyst covering office and industrial real estate. Rodgers has followed the REITs for 10 years, most recently as the office and industrial REIT senior analyst at RBC Capital Markets. Before then, worked at KeyBanc Capital Markets, covering multi-family REITs.

RREEFChris Papachristophorou has stepped down as managing director and global head of RREEF Opportunistic Investments after a 15-year career at the Deutsche Bank subsidiary. He will remain with the company until the end of this year and then "pursue new initiatives".

Metropolitan Real Estate Equity ManagementMargaret Gipe McKnight has been named co-CIO, while Beth-Anne Flynn, Jeremy Ford and John So have been elected partners. Flynn will be responsible for business development and client service. Ford and So are leaders of the firm's operations in Europe and Asia, respectively.

REC – The Frankfurt-based property consultancy firm has expanded its expertise in its Technical Service division by hiring Dieter Reineck. Before joining REC, he worked for project-controlling firm Arcadis for more than 10 years.

Carey OlsenSarah Wallis has been appointed a senior associate to strengthen the firm's residential conveyancing and private client services. Wallis qualified as a barrister and advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey in 1997 and as a notary public earlier this year.
