British Property Federation - Legal & General Property's managing director Bill Hughes has been named junior vice president of the BPF, putting him in line to become the federation's president in 2014. The organisation's summer reception also officially saw Chris Grigg, chief executive of British Land, assume his one-year term as president, replacing Great Portland Estates head Toby Courtauld. Grigg, who in turn was replaced as senior vice president by David Marks of Brockton Capital, now next in line to become president in 2013.
Henderson Global Investors - Head of indirect property Nick Evans will move to Australia to assist in the launch of Henderson's new property venture in the country. He will join executive chairman Rob Adams, who joined from Challenger Funds Management earlier in the year.
Brookfield Asset Management - David Brush has been hired as managing partner of the company's property group, based in London. Brush spent 18 years at RREEF and most recently was chairman of its global opportunistic real estate business, with prior experience at the Tankers Trust's real estate arm.
Wainbridge Holdings - The company has appointed Jonathan Hardie new head of asset management, while Jay Patel has been promoted to vice president after two years at Wainbridge. Hardie has previously worked at Westbrook Partners as well as Haslemere Estates, while Patel spent several years at Eurohypo and KPMG before joining in 2010. Finally, the company has also appointed Ge Xu as an analyst, joining from IPD.
Valad Europe - The Nordic, German and funds management teams have seen new appointments, with former head of Nordics Michael Bruhn promoted to chairman for the region. Mikael Arne Fogemann, previously Nordic's head of asset management, will succeed Bruhn. Meanwhile, Andreas Hardt has been appointed head of Germany, joining from Archon, while Rob Cotterell has been promoted to deputy head of funds management based in London. Cotterell has been with the company for over a decade, currently overseeing Valad's two Nordic funds and its University Capital Trust.
Icon Infrastructure - Daniel Hales joins as director of finance, responsible for all aspects of operational management at the company. In the past, Hales has worked at Goldman Sachs and KPMG.
