GLOBAL - Legal & General Property, Henderson Global Investors, WGF, British Land, Deutsche Hypo, Corio, Baird
Legal & General Property - Charlie Walker has been promoted to director and appointed to the board. Walker will continue to support the growth of institutional business and lead the management of the UK Property Income fund, for which he was senior fund manager. Meanwhile, Ross Taylor has been appointed senior transactions manager, Michael Tate has been made fund analysis manager, and Katherine Laurenson has been appointed senior solicitor.
Henderson Global Investors - Jenny Pidgeon has left Upstream Sustainability Services, a subsidiary of Jones Lang LaSalle, to join Henderson as director of property - responsible property investment (RPI). She will be responsible for developing and implementing Henderson's RPI programme. At Upstream, Pidgeon worked with several investors on sustainability strategies and researched the link between sustainability and investment performance.
WGF - The German real estate company has appointed Bärbel Schomberg to its supervisory board. Schomberg is deputy president of the German Property Federation (ZIA) and chairman of the board of Initiative Corporate Governance.
British Land - The UK real estate investment trust has restructured its development team. Nigel Webb, head of development, will assume responsibility for all group development and report directly to chief executive Chris Grigg. Richard Wise, chief executive at retail developer CEO, is also joining as head of retail development.
Deutsche Hypo - The German bank has appointed Anne-Isabelle Carbonnière to lead the bank's activities in France. The appointment follows the retirement of Lionel Cavin, who left the company at the end of last year. Carbonnière was previously head of the Paris office of DG Hyp and Westimmo.
Corio - Jan Willem Weissink, senior vice-president of Ahold Europe Real Estate & Construction, is to become chief executive at Corio Nederland.
Baird - Steven Goldberg has joined as managing director of the real estate investment banking division. Most recently, Goldberg oversaw the real estate investment banking division at FBR Capital Markets.
