GLOBAL - Aberdeen Asset Management, IVBN, Cordea Savills, JP Morgan Asset Management, Delancy, Jones Lang LaSalle, Morgan Stanley, Aviva Investors

Aberdeen Asset Management - Russell Chaplin is to join Aberdeen as property chief investment officer and sit on the company's management board for real estate. Chaplin joins from UBS Global Asset Management, where he ran the global strategy team. He will report to Andrew Smith, Aberdeen's global head of property, developing the company's real estate investment process and managing the global real estate investment strategy. Chaplin previously held positions at Henderson Global Investors and Property Market Analysis, the international property consultancy.

IVBN - The Dutch Association of Institutional Investors in Real Estate (IVBN) has elected Hans Copier as chairman. Copier is a member of the European board of ING Real Estate Investment Management and the firm's country manager for the Netherlands. He has been a director of IVBN since June 2008. Copier follows René Hogenboom, who was elected IVBN chairman in 2007.

Cordea Savills - Mikael Wilhelmsson has been appointed asset manager for Cordea Savills Nordic Retail fund. He joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was an account manager in the asset management services team. Wilhelmsson will report to Hakan Blixt, director of investment, and be based in Cordea Savills' Stockholm office.

JP Morgan Asset Management - The company's Global Real Assets arm has established real estate teams on the ground in Frankfurt and Paris to manage existing properties. The Frankfurt team is managed by Michael Ramm, co-head of acquisitions for JP Morgan Asset Management's European real estate group, while the Paris team is managed by Jean-Philippe Vergnol. Both were previously located at the company's London offices.

Delancy - The UK real estate company has appointed Ben Young as a senior acquisitions executive. Reporting to managing director Paul Goswell, Young will source and purchase new property opportunities across all sectors, as well as work on sales within the current portfolio. Young joins following nine years at British Land, where he was a director within the investment team, responsible for real estate acquisitions and disposals.

Jones Lang LaSalle - Charles Tillett has been appointed director in JLL's corporate solutions England team. He joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was a partner within the global client solutions team, managing, retaining and winning some of the company's largest corporate occupier accounts.

Morgan Stanley - The bank has named John Klopp and Olivier de Poulpiquet as co-chief executive officers and co-chief investment officers of its real estate investing business. Owen Thomas, who was chairman and chief executive of the real estate investing group, will remain chairman and continue in his primary role of chief executive of Morgan Stanley Asia.

Aviva Investors - James Morrow has joined as client portfolio manager for real estate in the UK and Europe. Morrow joins from Ernst & Young Real Estate Finance, where he was an assistant director responsible for developing a global real estate capital capability.
